I finally got the letter notifying me of sponsor approval. Was this letter supposed to include which visa office the application has been transferred to, or will that be a separate letter? I'm wondering whether our application might be processed in Mississauga.

Mississauga, though I never received Pre-arrival or DM in ECAS? Not that I'm complaining
Yeah that's what I thought so. Mississauga office is the fastest visa office to process all the kinds of visas

hi all,
another query, being a sponsor as long as I have my canadian address in the forms etc ,does it matter if I send the application package from outside Canada?
I have travel plans and most likely my application will b ready when i will be out of Canada. Should I wait to come back to canada and then send application to missisauga etc?

thanks for your responses.

My Ecas changed to “in process” what’s gonna be the next step? We passed the medical exam June 3. and we already paid RPRF upfront.

Nope. File transfer email would be a different message/email..it is not meant to say that on the sponsor approval message.

The next step is waiting patiently.

So six months to the day since our application was received the sponsorship status changed to "Decision Made"

So, do I get an email now or a letter?

Half anxious / half excited!

Update:

In GCKey, the eligibility status changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." This is a new status :)

I think that's mean sponsor approved .

I would say if your American then have no fears..just looking at all the threads of people receiving their decisions made and all that Jazz the majority of posters are from the United States. So it looks like Americans typically wait 5 to 6 months to recieve good news. That’s pretty freaking sweet. I’ve seen no real movement for the visa exempt countries.

Ah ok, I'm Canadian and my wife is Australian. I actually called Mississauga earlier this week to inquire and the agent was perplexed as to why sponsorship had taken six months and no movement.

He said he would leave a note with the case processing officer.

Maybe my persistence played a part.

Australia isn’t a visa exempt country. I’m just saying that if you have a spouse in a visa exempt country get ready to wait..if your from the United States, Australia or a visa free joint then your wait won’t be all that bad from what I’ve seen. What Canada CIC should post on processing times shouldn’t be 12 month wait for everyone. It should say that only for visa exempt countries. It says processing times for the United States, Australian and everyone else 12 months but you know it’s all a sham...just saying big boy.
