I am a US student visa holder. When applying for a Canadian student visa what should I answer to "Are you a permanent resident of the United States who has an alien registration card (Green Card) or other proof of permanent residence?" I am obviously not a permanent resident and I am not violating any immigration laws of the US either.

If you are "obviously not a permanent resident", the answer is pretty obvious.

Noted. Thank you! That question was so confusing when I saw it first because it sounds like I am in the US illegally.

One of the worst things anyone can do when filling out their app is overthink the questions. It will drive you nuts.
