Hello im the PA and they got my application last dec 15, just this may 18 i received my pre arrival letter, how many months more should i wait until my ppr comes, the thing is i dont have gckey acc and i only have ecas and they havent updated anything since i submitted my medical last march, latest update in my ecas is medical has been received.. Visa office is in manila. I just hope i get my ppr soon!

Yeah, that was what I imagined. Would you just recommend to update the VO via webform - I guess that's the best way?
If your Visa Office is Mississauga then use the webform. Otherwise you should contact the visa office directly via email. The file transfer letter received by the sponsor should outline how to get in touch with the visa office handling the application.

Decision made yesterday, application received Dec 6th 2017. Amazed at how quick the process has been.

If you're applying from a visa exempt country you should upload a scan of your passport and the request letter with updated information completed via the Web form and then send visa photos in the mail to the specified processing office.

I am currently in Canada so had to mail my photos back to London (UK applicant). After mailing the photos I had decision made and visa granted within 1 week. Now planning a quick trip back to the UK to pick up my documents from my mailing address.

Hope everyone else has a nice quick decision made!
Congrats! So the London VO is not as slow as they say it is. i guess depends on the visa officer. My wife's application transferred to London and ECAS says they have started processing. Just waiting for the BGC to begin.

COPR received today (June 11, 2018)

flight to Vancouver booked for June 18, 2018

if anything this process has taught us patience. if we got through it, i'm sure all of you will too. i can't wait to be in Canada with my wife and start my life.

good luck all, and thanks for all the help on the forums.

Are there people here who quit their jobs when they got pre arrival letter or just when they got ppr? Just asking

I'd guess everyone is different - I did mine a month before DM on ecas (took a punt) - you can wait in Canada for the rest of your App worst-case

DM and the pre-arrival letter the same day. You still have to mail passport photos etc (which is where I'm at now). VO is Mississauga and I applied Dec 11 originally

Sure! We crossed customs and migration at Pearson International Airport im Toronto. We did this via air.

:)[/QUOTE
Thanks for your response! my husband and I will be visiting next month via air at Pearson International Airport as well. my husband is nervous that he will have a hard time with immigration having his PR application in process... besides the border officer asking the purpose of your trip did they ask for any personal doc like PR application etc? we just want to be as prepared as possible.

What do you mean I can wait the app in Canada tho, Im in outland sponsorship so I cant really go to canada unless I get the visa stamped..

unless your country states otherwise, yes you can wait in Canada while they process the rest of your application - there are threads here that discuss it. I think you enter under 'duel intent'

not to be pedantic, but it's actually dual intent. duel intent would involve swords or pistols, haha. :D

Does anybody just have a day every once in a while where you feel discouraged with the process and waiting? That's me today. :(
