Anyone got PR rejected after AOR for incomplete profile?

Profile is rejected because it says "The Police certificate from IRAN that you provided with your application is not acceptable as you did not provide the original." -- I had a colored copy which conforms to original attached but apparently was not sufficient. I understand that with EVERY document which is not in English, I should attach the original as well??

OK, so here a couple of questions:
  1. In my previous application I claimed to have a relative (Aunt) in Canada. After ITA I had to remove my aunt from the profile as she refused to provide her docs. I also removed an employer since I couldn't get a ref letter from them. Now that I'm rejected, for this new EE profile I started , should I skip my aunt and that employer or put them in again, get ITA and remove them later??
  2. I have a complex travel history I guess. I lived in two countries, and traveled to other countries from these two countries and also traveled in between these countries. The way I put my travel history is based on the stamps in passport. Is this correct?
  3. I have worked while studying for 2 years. I worked full time and studied full time (went to class 6 days a week 3+ hours each day which is more than 15 hours requirement). Is this work experience going to be considered a part-time employment?

  • translation and original (colour scan)
  • no aunt, no employer. only put whatever you will not remove. they have a snapshot of your profile at ITA and at e-APR. Any change needs to be reasonably explained in the Letter of Explanation, suggest you keep the need for explanations to the bare unavoidable minimum.
  • correct, based on ALL stamps (missing none). Also all passport pages with remarks/visas/stamps need to be legibly scanned and uploaded with e-APR
  • All work equal or greater than 30 hours per week in a work experience letter from the employer will be considered full time, lesser will be part time. IMO 15 hours x 2 years will be considered as One year experience.

4. Now that my application is rejected and I'm filling the new one, do I have to redo my medicals as well? They've been submitted May 7th. I guess not, because medicals are valid for 1 year right?

5. In my country, they do a version of "copy conforms to original" copies with the translation. I understand that you're saying I should upload the original and the translation. Should I include the "copy conforms to original" versions of the docs as well? It's basically a color copy of the original document where a stamp "copy conforms to original + DATE" is mentioned

6. My PCC in Iran has 1 month validity (mentioned on the document and translation). However, IRCC says all the police certificates of the countries you live in currently are valid for 6months. Should I acquire a new one for the new application? It's going to expire in a week.

7. How do I know I'm not missing anything this time? I don't want to be rejected for being incomplete again

Logic is, when you provide a "copy conforms to original" you open it up for debate. "conform to what original?" What is the original you are talking about when you upload the document which said "conforms to some imaginary original document". In the end you still need to upload the original document to prove that the conforms-to-original documents you uploaded is in-fact the copy of the real original.

Rule of thumbs:
- All the documents upload need to be a scan of original documents.
- If the document is in foreign language, you need to upload:
+ Original copy
+ Translated copy
+ The copy that you give to the translator to translate, which has his/her stamp on it.

Note: Before upload something, made sure you read the question mark "?" next to the upload button carefully

Thanks for the response. The "copy conforms to original" stamp is on the copy of the original document which is attached to the translation. I totally understand the logic though I thought when there's a colored copy of a document with a stamp on it that says "conforms to original", then it's actually like the original. -- You wouldn't believe that I spend days and hours reading through forums and reviewing everything before submitting and I made this mistake

5. Upload everything within same PDF: Original first, Translation next, and anything else you think needs to be uploaded. Explain in Letter of Explanation

6. A valid PCC is acceptable to IRCC for a year. A PCC which is invalid as per the issuer (Iran) is INVALID. Get a new PCC, why risk it out ?

7. If you are not uploading 'exactly' what is being asked for and you are providing something you think (or are confident) will suffice, chance are your application may be considered incomplete. Check here for multiple perspectives in such situations.

All the best second time around !

8. I have two masters degree and one bachelor. My ECA is with WES, and it says "two master's degrees". So far so good.
Two problems:
1. My masters degrees (MS and MBA) are from a university which is affiliated with UC Berkeley school but it was not geographically located in United States. WES has written "United States" for the Country
2. For my bachelor degree, WES has put an incorrect spelling father's name in my name even though it's not even mentioned in my diploma (!?)

Do these need explanation in LOE?

9. For my last position, that I'm employed in right now, my contract was established on 21 December 2016, but I came to work after New Year's holiday which is early January. My reference letter says "starting January 2017" but other official documents like tax history is from December 2016 -- Should I explain this in LOE?

10. My work experience is overall 6 years+. I have some freelance work as well but I don't claim any point for it. I worked in two companies that I claim points for, in each I held two positions. Company X, Software Engineer (NOC 2173), then promoted to Software Development Manager (NOC 0213) after 2 years. Then I left and joined company Y, worked for 9 months (I cannot get ref letter from this company so I excluded it from my profile) as Director of Engineering (NOC 2173). I then joined company Z as Mobile Development Team Lead (NOC 2173) for 6 months, then I was promoted to Software Development Manager (NOC 0213) and working as it ever since. Two questions:

1. My primary NOC code is 0213. I have 3+ years in that occupation. Software Development Manager is in the list of job titles for this NOC code. How do I make sure I chose the right code?

2. I have 4 reference letters, from two companies, each for the period of time where I held different positions. Is this fine?

3. My ref letter for the position I hold since June 2017 says "This is to certify that Mr. X has been employed by Y since June 2017 as Software Development Manager, Wen and Mobile. His employment is full-time and he works 44 hours per week at our office in Z" -- Does this imply that I'm still working in this company or it's not clear? Letter date is 2018/04/20

Since you find something amiss, CIC will too. In all such cases explain in LoE. Doing so will not hurt your application, NOT DOING so will ! Also check all the documents you sent to WES, your father's name will be there somewhere. WES cannot have accurately guessed your father's name. If this is the case, you will need to mention it as 'other names used' in you EE/e-APR application. And also in your 'Legal Name Change affidavit'

9. Your application must match the reference letter (if that is what your employer considers is the correct date, else get it corrected), which is what CIC will check with.

10.1. I am not sure what it is that you are asking. Ideally you should use the NOC of your last job, which could be another NOC on account of seniority in the same function. But as long as your roles & responsibilities indicate that the previous NOC is also covered you will be fine. However, if you latest job NOC does not have enough work experience, as is required, you will obviously have to choose the NOC which allows you into the door.

10.2. Yes, you will need to have 4 entries so you get 4 upload slots for your ref letters

10.3. It does, unless you are not. I assume you will indicate this job as current while filling the application.

Please pm me. I'm frustrated and have tons of questions....
My first application was cancelled as incomplete because it was missing a road certificate to accompany my Australian police check as I had lived in one of two states that don't provide road history to the national police check.

Long story short, I used a lawyer this time because I wanted absolutely every micro detail covered which is what you pay them for.

They used the same medical I used for my first application and it is passed in my current application. AOR 12 Feb.

8. My father's name is mentioned in my Bachelor's degree and transcript but with a different spelling. My highest degree is Masters though, do you think this is still important? If I add this to other names, don't you think this will complicate it? There's always the line between complicating and simplifying I'm worried about.

9. Maybe in LOE I say that contract was signed in December 2016 but I actually went to work after New Year holiday in January 2017?

How much did you pay for the service? (Please in PM) I'm thinking of doing the same, but looking for someone that knows all the caveats of the countries I lived in and my docs and also can do it fast and accurate.
