Hi all! April 13, 2018 applicant here. My application will stay in Mississauga! Just got the email. Will be completing med request next week. What is the processing time for this office?

There are many people getting PPR in 4-6 months. But still others whose take 6-12 months. Outland applications that are processed in Mississauga are typically considered non-complex and are kept there to be streamlined so hopefully most people are seeing theirs completed before the 12 month mark.

Yeah I’ve still seen quite a few others around the 1 year mark as well. I read your posts and saw that you had to submit additional documents so that usually set some people back. I think we may be in for some setbacks with ours as well with additional documents. Only time will tell.

What would deem an application “non complex”? Other than having met my sponsor online and moved in together 5 weeks after meeting in person (while I was on a study visa in Canada), I don’t think there are any other red flags on my application. Hopefully my application will remain in Mississauga

I think typically complexity comes in with previous criminal history, previous marriages, medical issues, age gaps, large cultural or regions differences, very short courtships before marriage, if the PA is from a high risk country, etc. Having just one of those might not mean it’s complex, but when maybe there’s a few things they think they may need to investigate more thouroghly and possibly interview about.

Hi everyone-

Looking for a bit of advice. I'm sponsoring my wife for PR with an outland application. I'm a Canadian citizen, as are our two daughters. We've been living outside Canada for 17 years but are planning to move to Canada this summer. My wife comes from a "no visa needed" country, so would arrive along with us as a visitor (and we have a ticket from Canada to her home country purchased for October to support this should there be issues upon arrival in July).

Our application seems to be ticking along fine, with my SA granted in April and we received the "you're being processed in Mississauga" letter last week. Application shows "in process", medical was passed, etc. So far, so good.

When we applied in early February 2018 I didn't yet have a job lined up in Canada - we wrote in the application my plan at the time was to look for one upon arrival in July, and would live off of our savings in the meantime. We provided bank statements to show we have those funds.

Two things have changed since we submitted the application: 1. we've bought a house in Canada & 2. I've been offered a job, so I'm no longer needing to seek employment. If you were me, would you submit something through the webform mentioning these details, or would you just let things keep humming along undisturbed?

I don't think it will be necessary to show any of this. You've already been approved to sponsor so you've satisfied the officer that you are going to move to Canada and that you will be able to support your wife.

Unless a visa officer asks you for more information, I wouldn't provide anything further.

it seems usually people receive File Transfer/Case will be processed email a few days after SA. Is anyone in the same boat where SA is received but no file transfer / VO email - it has been 2 months since we've received SA... starting to feel like our file got lost

I did not received the file transfer email either. After digging for more info here n there, I was told my application must have been stayed in CPC-M with no confirmation what so ever.

We didn't get our file transfer/visa office letter for about 2 months after SA either. I'm assuming they've probably already transferred your file (if it's staying at CPC-M) and are processing it. We received DM less then a month after receiving the file transfer email, so hopefully you're closer to the finish line then you think!

Do you mean the whole process took 5 month and the final DM was made month after the SA email?
