Email from CIC that PR card renewal needs secondary review

Hey just received email from IRCC, June 2017 applicant, case went to secondary review in August 2017. Today they emailed me saying secondary review was completed and they need additional docs to finalize the renewal. Here's what they want.. and I am confused ..


Hi I just received email from IRCC regarding the pr card renewal. This is after secondary review was completed and they asked additional docs.

• Photocopies of ALL pages (including blank pages) of your passport(s)/travel document(s) held in the last five (5) years. Ensure all pages are in colour and are clearly legible; We have received these and attached them to your file. (I think I am done with this and no need to send again)

AND

• Personal immigration entry/exit record or movement certificate issued by your country of citizenship and the countries where you have travelled or resided; Please ensure you include the ENTRY/EXIT record for the PHILIPPINES. (Are they asking only for Philippines because my passport shows other countries visit as well) I have entry exit stamp in the passport, Can i send the stamp copy to them. I already sent it , I don't know why they are asking again?

AND

· Any other document(s) supporting your physical presence in Canada (This is optional right)

Also can you send requested docs from outside Canada ?

Seems like there is some confusion about the dates you are claiming to be in Canada. Would take this very seriously and get any information proving that you were in Canada.

Are they only asking for philippines in this case?

Seems like there is some confusion about the dates you are claiming to be in Canada. Would take this very seriously and get any information proving that you were in Canada.

Hi.. I am just confused by the 2nd point.. I mean are they just asking for Philippines entry exit record? I visited philippines for 5 days. I guess they overlooked the passport stamp. The passport contains both entry and exit stamp. Should I re send them the entry exit stamp copy? Or are they asking for all countries entry exit record? Please advise thanks

HI canuck78 you're correct. I just checked the passport and there's a fatal error on the stamps. The philippines immigration stamped the departure date wrong and placed it 1 year back.

Such a blunder. What shall I do now?

Hi guys. 2017July applicant here. App went to secondary review in August 2017 and additionally documents sent to cic September 2017. I just checked Ecas and status has changed to decision made. I will update again once I find out what the decision is. Hopefully it’s a positive one.

May 30, 2017 applicant. Application went in secondary review on July 25 2017. Additional documents requested in July 2017, submitted in August 2017.

Today the status changed to Decision Made. Hopefully it is positive decision.

Finally. My timeline again:
2017 July 7: Sent application
2017 Aug 22: Received secondary review email + additional documents request.
2017 September 13: additional documents sent.
2018 May 17: DM.

PR Card received today.

Seems that IRCC wants to keep the processing time under 12 months. Applied May 30th 2017, card received May 24th 2018

Are you sure you have 730 days in Canada? If so then nothing to worry.

How about if I submit application with 800 days then left the country? As SR need almost one year, I could miss RO 70 days later...What will happen?

Finally my PR card renewal application is complete. Here’s my timeline. Had 1200+ days.

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 13, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 8, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on September 8, 2017.
4. We sent you correspondence on September 8, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on May 31, 2018.
