Hi everyone. I have a question
I want to apply tourist visa for my parents,
And next year i want to apply for pr for them

Whats your suggestion ti apply tourist visa or super visa now?
What is the difference and benefits for each?

My parents are in Iran

Hi Guys,
I sent the application on April 30th. It was delivered to Ottawa on May 2nd. However I have not received any sort of confirmation from CIC yet. Just received the second frienly reminder email today saying the deadline approaching. I was wondering if anyone has received any confirmation from CIC after the application delivered.

I called them the next day and they were abel to confirm that the application was received and complete. I had to call them as my application was sent to Mississauga instead of Ottawa mistakenly by my representative.

You can't apply for their pr unless you get selected in lottery to sponsor. Assuming your parents like it here and they want to stay long then apply for supervisa Or else apply tourist visa.

Tourist allows 6 month stay. Supervisa allows 2 years stay.

For the year 2019 to apply for Parents immigration, as i understand from this conversation, the NOA required will be for year 2018, 2017, 2016? Please correct me if i m wrong. The cutover time to send the application was Feb 1st 2018 this year. So assuming it will be same next year also, how would we be able to get the NOA for 2018? Does this mean we need to apply for our taxes in year 2019, before Feb 1st? I m a bit confused, will appreciate if someone can clarify.

Second confusion i have is regarding the dependents; in 2019 before Feb 1st 2019, two of my children will be 22 years old. So are these dependents or not? do i have to count them as dependents as in the preceding years they were my dependents or we count the dependents for individual year?

This year when they came back again still on their valid super visa, they were given a date to leave the country that is within 5 months. It looks like the two year stay is not correct or if there was any fine print which i did not read. Happy to hear any comments on this.

Use sponsor details. I guess, wait for at least 15 business days Or wait until you receive AOR.

I assume, their passport may be expiring soon? If that's not the case, then I would have no idea.

Any idea how many applications cic might have received out of 15000 as tomorrow is last day and are we going to have any draws upcoming this year if so when do you think we would have new draws july or June.

I have missed lottery two years in a row honestly I hate this process . As no proper filter to identify genuine applications.

There is no time duration given with a TRV. Upon entry it's up to CBSA how much time to give, could be 1 month, 6 months or any other amount they think is sufficient.

Same with supervisa, 2 years is not guaranteed, many parents have received less time upon entry with a supervisa.

You don't need 2018 tax return to apply to the lottery in January 2019, at this time you just need to know personally you will meet the income amount in 2018 which you can figure out with your own calculations. Completed tax return is only required to prove income when you actually submit the application (assuming you win a lottery spot) around April/May 2019.

The family size in 3 previous tax years used for income calculations, is only based on family size at time you submit the application. So if your children will be 22+ in mid 2019, they will not count in your family size for any previous year.
