Dear All,

I need your advice- I have submitted all the documents needed for my Federal skilled worker Express Entry application after the ITA. Today, I have received an email saying that my application is rejected and closed because my Police Certificate was issued in Arabic and it needed to be translated to either English/French.

Now, is there any way to connect with CIC and present the translation of this document and reopen the application again? It's not fair to apply from scratch again and go through ITA/Scoring again because of this one document translation.... It's a waste of time:(

I have heard of couple of instances where they had to go through the same situation when they submitted in foreign language other than English or French. You can raise a CSE with LOE and provide translated document. They might or might not open the case but that might not happen all of a sudden too. Youre other option is to go back to pool and if you recently got ITA then you have decent score to get ITA again

This must be very frustrating for you, but in all fairness, the CIC website is clear on the translation requirements (see below link), and one of the main reasons applications are rejected early is due to missing documents and foreign documents being submitted without proper translation.

Having said that, I do agree that it doesn't hurt asking if they'd reopen your case, you never know. You should probably have the translation ready when you contact them though.
I'm not sure what your CRS was, but the latest draw (440) was the lowest score so far this year, so you at least have a good idea what you are up against, if you have to apply again. Good luck!

Really sorry to hear that mate. Could you please share your timeline i.e. after how many days of AOR did they reject the application? As suggested by members above, there is no harm is raising a CSE with the translation and you may also enter the pool again to save time should that not work for you. Good luck.

Mine got rejected after 2 weeks too cos the color scan of the black and white FBi report to them did not look colored enough. Lawyer said its just easier to reapply and fix the issue then open CSE which takes forever. The second ITA came within a week.
