LOL...it gets so confusing the more we talk about 'nikkah only', 'rukhsati' and so on.

My take is that Islamically nikkah is all you need to do whatever the hell you want to do.

If you apply as nikkah only then I believe it's better to not show living or spending time together because the cultural norm is to do so after rukhsati. Visa officers go by cultural norm. Thats just my opinion. But then you would think that the more proof of closeness you show the better...who the hell knows.

Well I guess that makes me the guinea pig. Let's see what they have to say about mine, they'll likely ask for ruksati photos which I don't have. I don't really know what to explain to them. It was a Nikkah case so we didn't have a formal ruksati yet but I still went to live with him anyway lol. They sound like some paindu old fashioned villagers

Like I said before they are thinking about 50 to 60 years ago with arrange marriages no love marriages and old customs. PS i do enjoy reading your post and sometimes have a good laugh

But see the thing is that there is another way to look at it. What do the officers want to see? More proof, more closeness and all that. Your living with him and spending time with him is exactly that. So it should be a good thing and they may ask you for rukhsati pics which you dont have and you will say it's Nikkah only but then they may say whey spending time together...lovely catch 22.

LOL well at least I can be entertaining. Pakistan has a good mix of people some very liberal while others very conservative. LVO needs to consider all. Btw are you on the fb group? If so, who are you ?

LOL do you have any suggestions on what I should say then ? Or does anyone else. Oh I had some ugly broken ass car which was too embarrassing to display so I refused to take photos in it haha LOL ta daaa

The concept of rukhsati is INDIAN OK LVO. WE ARE PAKISTANI! You catch the drift here LVO. I will write that :p

How about we wait till they ask you and then we'll come up with a plan....:p I'm very good at 'getting going jab sar pay paray'. They may not ask about it at all and issue the damn visa :)

me and her both came to the same building after baraat and we had a room decoraded and pictures taken in that room but it was not a rukhsati in a conventional sense. Anyways next month I am going on honeymoon i hope it helps
