Stating my story again, Been in EE since 2014. Haven't seen any hope, yet I never spread negativity. I increased my score wherever and whenever possible and waiting for the draw on 9th May for 440 or lower cut-off. Then ppl come here and say it's going to be 441+ because they 'think'!? Dude it's not going to help anyone. None of the predictions are true, everything is just out of imagination or past numbers (except very few). Being hopeful and positive is way easier than you think. Give it a try rather than thinking it's easier said than done. Let's all do it together to reach Canada than scaring the crap out of a guy who's new to EE.
Well I wasn't a pessimist a year ago. But since my ITA expired, and I lost 5 points, It seems as if the whole universe is conspiring against me . Pessimism is another way of feeling important, when actually you are not :p why would the universe even bother.

Your pessimism is hurting others too dude. You can get a grip and be positive which will help others and yourself too! I wish and hope you the best. Your ITA isn't going anywhere. Just see where you can do better and you'll be one step closer to getting your ITA. Pessimism is just a F-all logic to say the world that you are a loser. You are still in this forum, so I am sure that you don't see yourself as a loser. So get a grip and let's all help other here.

You are gonna receive the ITA this time for sure. 440 it will be, insha Allah :) and no tie-break can deprive you of ITA that is rightfully yours :p I said that about myself as well, when I first created my EE profile. I was in that state of being sure before my very first draw :p, as google puts it, "I'm feeling lucky". Now this is technically my 2nd draw, and I have totally lost that feeling :p.
I also believe in striving for the things you value. The day I lost my ITA, I enrolled myself in Uni of London's M.Sc . I am also planning on visiting UAE to take CELPIP in June insha Allah. I hope its worth it. CELPIP is convenient compared to IELTS, as you just get it over with in a single day.

I disagree with your view. Many here prefer to see others prediction. Some prediction come close and some may be way of the mark but I don't thi k anyone here is predicting to spread negativity. In fact many are spending considerable amount of time thinking and analysing data's before coming up with the prediction. I understand your situation and you are so close after all these years of waiting but since you have waited so long, some prediction should not be the reason for becoming paranoid now. Your time will come regardless of anyone's prediction.

For a 3500 draw on May 9th my estimate is 439 based on current trends. I wouldn't be surprised to see 438 though... Not sure why everyone is being so pessimistic with their predictions, just look at the last few draws it has gone 446 > 444 > 441, and new applicants entering the pool is trending down.

I think we're all splitting hairs, given how close to each other and to the cut off we are right now. Chances are we're all getting an invitation sooner rather than later, given the program's history.

I just don't feel the score will come down to 430s anytime soon. 440 is gonna happen for sure..But people in 430s (including me) will have to wait for a while.

There's a rational for it going down to the high 430s, as long as they keep the current pace of draws. They went all the way down to 436 or something in October, which means most of the people on that bracket are on the 430~435 level. It shouldn't be much harder to get to 436 than it was to get to 441.

IELTS,
-For ITELTS exams on the same date,Are exam questions same around the world? or do different countries have different questions.
-Is the marking scheme same or different for countries as people who write in developed countries always have good results.
Is this the case?
Sometimes the questions are common, sometimes they are not. I recently scored 8.5 on IELTS speaking test when the examiner was native English speaker while Asian examiner gave me only 7.5 a year ago. Other scores did not vary much, although I took the tests in two different countries.

Upcoming draw is crucial. I really hope the cut-off score goes down to 430s. All the best to everyone.

I agree with you. I believe in number because numbers never lie. But hoping against the hope at the same time that the cut-off score drops.

That's a good news, but I was just thinking that there are now, almost 100,000 applicants in the pool.. welcome everyone by the way :p
Did you calculate the rate at which the applicants with 440+ scores are entering the pool this year?

Thank you. And trust me, I see a warrior kind in you. Keep fighting and I am sure you will receive your ITA sooner than you think. Just do not give up. You don't seem like you will at any point. :) all the best dude!

I don't think it'll be a while. Once CRS breaks 440, they will push it to 420s in next consecutive draws. 430 isn't a far away dream I am sure.
