Hi. Applied last week on paper and linked online on 2 May. Today on 4 May the status has changed to UPDATED from SUBMITTED.

Can any senior member tell exactly what does this status change signify.

i have been trying to link my application from last 1 week, but no success.

I received one email and one text message which includes
1. Application number or tracking number
2. My file has been sent from vfs jalandhar to Chandigarh and then to new Delhi.

Hi Guys,
I applied Visitor Visa for my parents on 8th April.
And today (4th May) I got notification from CIC that their visa got rejected due to following reasons mentioned:-

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I am surprised to see these reasons because for the first one, since my mom-dad never travelled out of country, there wont be any travel history. Why would they reject based on this fact?? Wierd.
And for second one, I showed my parent's collective assets in India to be around 90lakhs (Rs 9000000), and i thought this much amount should be enough for one to show that they have assets in India..

Feeling really dejected right now. Dont know how these reasons will change next time when i apply again. Both travel history and assets will remain almost same..
Any thoughts guys?

You need to post the complete list of documents that you submitted with the application, only then one can guide you.

Applied 27th April TRV for marriage in july

Till today nothing, just 2 submission confirmation mails.
My Uncle and aunt also Applied online on 2nd may, they also got 2 confirmation msgs.
But seeing u guys waiting here since march i am not expecting anything early.

You need to post the complete list of documents that you submitted with the application, only then one can guide you.

For my father (primary applicant), I submitted, invitation letter from me, proof of financial assets, family representation doc, family info, imm5257e doc, imm5257b_1 doc, marriage cert, passport and proof of relationship with me (my passport mentioning him as my father).

For my mom, i submitted family info, imm5257e, imm5257b_1 and her passport.

This seems to be generic and you do upload your passport in online application anyway. If not, how did you send the copy to them?

You should contact the Canadian embassy in USA via email. They do reply.

I got this message as well but I didn’t send a passport copy!! They are saying “ you are EXPECTED to send you passport copies with online application”
I already uploaded all our copies before submitting.
Am I right? Or do we have to send copies!!!???

If your visa gets approved only then you need to send passport in original to canadian embassy.

If we get the message I’ve posted above, does it mean we need to send them copies?? Even though we’ve already submitted copies??
