It was Feb 21 so like two months in my case.
Hope it wont take too long for u!

Our app is processing in VO Mississauga. I had gotten AOR2 Feb 16th and never even had "In Process" on ECAS. Just went to DM on May 1st. ...

However, Background said processing in GCKey starting on the 6th of March.

Please advise on the below issue:
India specific requirements say that a few ORIGINAL documents to be submitted in case birth of spouse is registered later. Copied the exact text below:

Birth certificates issued in this country: If a birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as:

• Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and
• Voter's ID card.

Again the basic guide reiterates as follows:
Make sure to check the country-specific requirements. If the country specific requirements tell you that you must submit an original document instead of a copy, you must submit the original or we will return your application.

Question: Does it mean I have to submit the 10th Class Certificate and Voter's ID card ORIGINAL and NOT the photocopies?

Current processing time is 57 days. Assuming you are having the card mailed to a family member in Canada and they're forwarding it onto you, as they will not send it overseas

Would be great if someone from India who already submitted application to sponsor his / her spouse whose Birth is registered later.

Hesitating to send ORIGINAL of 10th Class certificate because it is a very important document for various purposes and not sure whether I will get it back after processing.
