I'm starting the process of filling the forms to bring my future wife from South Korea. I will get married with her in South Korea next week (I will be flying on april 29th and staying for 1 month). While I'm in South Korea with her, I will take the opportunity to get the paperwork for her (criminal records check, family certificate and marriage certificate) and get them translated. She will also be filling IMM 5669 Annex A at this time.

Question 1 : If the documents is translated by a certified translator in S.Korea, the translated documents can be accepted by IRCC ? I know I need to get it certified so it will be a lawyer, surely in Seoul.

Question 2 : She will come with me to Canada on may 29th for 6 months on a visitor visa. Is it best to fill all the forms and send it from S.Korea (outland) or do it here in Canada after we get there ?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

1 - Yes it's fine, as long as translation is done to IRCC requirements and is certified to do so in Korea. IRCC would not demand all translations be done in Canada only.

2 - It's up to you.
If she wants a work permit and implied status to stay in Canada for duration of PR processing, then you may want to consider filing an INLAND app only after you both arrive back in Canada.
Or you can get the process started with OUTLAND app while still in Korea, but there is no work permit or implied status with this. She would need to continue to extend her visitor status (not a visa) every 6 months, or exit/re-enter Canada.

According to current posted processing times both inland and outland should be around 12 months processing time. Not sure how accurate these numbers are these days.

Thank you for the replies. About question 2, I was thinking of using the visitor status and extending for 6 months (I bought her a roundtrip plane ticket with the return set in november 2018 so we can prove to CIC the intent to return to make things right). But I was also thinking about a OWP so if we do it outland (I understand this type of request would allow my future wife to come and go from Canada without restrictions while a inland one would limit the entry and exit), would it have a impact ?

You can only get an OWP if you apply inland. There's no OWP with outland.
