Hello, as I am applying in the next few weeks for PR, is Outland or Inland route still faster? As I was informed a while back, Outland was faster, but I am not sure if this is the case anymore. Thanks!
I did this comparison before I decided to apply inland for my wife (as she wanted to apply for OWP). It's only about 3 months difference. I find that no biggie, but to some people it's a big deal.Best way is to check out the spreadsheets:
Inland 2017: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yn3BFzI4q4xAy4EW3pG4CgQz9o3EzF5b18_tcSJwBhA/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=1524155556
Outland 2017: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dJsaLvHra4173xPfRwZbXo73hsxoXaLSJ5-tcm7qnJI/edit#gid=504739638
Scroll to the side and you can see the average number of days for inland is 355, if you look at the summary page on outland you can see for many visa offices the average number of days is less, in many cases more like 250.
Yeah if you’re wanting an OWP then it’s not much of a difference to have to wait a few extra months. But also with inland you can’t leave during the process or appeal if you get denied so for many people Outland feels like a safer option.I did this comparison before I decided to apply inland for my wife (as she wanted to apply for OWP). Question 4 of a form (cant remember which) where it asks class of application and there is three checkboxes.Ok I see, thank you for the information.
As I am briefly looking through the application, I can't see where to choose whether to be Outland or Inland. I am currently, and planning to reside in Canada while I wait for my PR application. How do I apply Outland while I am residing in Canada? I know you can, but I just don't know how. Thank you
Thank you, I was reading somewhere that if you apply Outland and you need to do a interview, it is to be had in the country you apply from. Would I have to go back to conduct this interview, or can it be scheduled in Canada?Question 4 of a form (cant remember which) where it asks class of application and there is three checkboxes.

I am American. So if called I couldn't do it in Canada?Would be in PAs country but you are what american or british? Its rare americans/brits get called for interviews.
If you apply outland and are called for an interview - it will be held in the US and you have to attend the interview there. As said, unlikely you'll need to attend an interview. But always some possibility.I am American. So if called I couldn't do it in Canada?
That's really a personal decision.Huh okay. I don't know what the "better" route is then.
I suppose it depends on how seldomly Americans are interviewed. What kind of things get you called in?That's really a personal decision.
Concerns the relationship isn't genuine.I suppose it depends on how seldomly Americans are interviewed. What kind of things get you called in?
