Hi,
My CRS Score was 475. I applied for express entry.
It says -Minimum entry criteria You do not meet the minimum entry criteria. Federal Skilled Worker Not Met

My IELTS score
Listening 8 | Reading 8.5 | Writing 7 | Speaking 8 | Overall band score = 8
ECA received
Masters degree - 2 years
Bachelor degree - 4 years

Work experience - 5 years

Age - 28 years
Minimum fund - 13000 CAD [I am married but spouse won't be coming with me as spouse is applying separately]
Why does it say minimum requirements not met?

Your funds are insufficient to qualify. Even if your spouse isn't coming, you still need to have enough funds to cover two people.

My husband will be applying for express entry as well and hunting for jobs. It doesn't make sense for both of us to show 15,531 CAD individually in each of our accounts, does it? They need to make some amendments like "Is your spouse applying separately" :|

I'm not sure I understand your question. It doesn't matter if you and your husband are applying separately - or if only one spouse is coming to Canada immediately and the other spouse is going later. Anyone applying under Express Entry has to show sufficient funds to cover themselves as well as their dependents. This is a basic requirement of the program. There's no need for both of you to have these funds individually. If you both wish to apply, then apply individually but then list each other as an accompanying dependent. You can then show proof of funds using bank balances from both of your accounts. There's no amendment to the rules required.

Note that it's generally next to impossible to find a job in Canada in order to get job offer points for your EE profile.

Thank you so much, Scylla. We were wondering if we apply as one and add the other as accompanying dependent if it would have any issue with the work permit. If one is given a dependent Canadian visa would that affect the career in any way?

I don't understand which work permit you are asking about.

Say I apply for EE and say my husband is accompanying me and show 15,531 CAD split between our accounts and we get an ITA and move to Canada too. Do we both have equal opportunity to apply for jobs? Would he be allowed to hunt for a job and work immediately? There is no such thing as dependent visa and the like?

You will both be permanent residents. There won't be any work permits involve and no dependent visas.

Hi, we did as you said and got the ITA too. I am the primary applicant and POF submission column is seen only for my profile. No such column in my spouse's profile. Does that mean I must have 15550 CAD only in my account? or is it ok to submit 2 documents - My POF + His POF under the POF section in my profile?

The POF is to be shown only in the PA profile. What you have to do is get a letter from your spouse stating that the amount in his account is yours to use as well and you are free to use it anyway you see fit. Both of you should sign this letter. Then submit both accounts along with this letter in the column for your POF.
