Hello Guys,

Need some suggestion with my current situation.

a) AOR: March 15 th
b) Medicals Passed: March 23 rd

My wife is 3 months pregnant by today and I want to update CIC regarding this. Medicals for my wife are done before conceiving in Jan.

Will my application be put on hold till baby is born?

I do not want to include the baby in my visa. I will apply visa for baby at a later stage. I just want to update CIC regarding the development.

What are options so my application will not be put in hold?

Many thanks in Advance.

Well, your application will proceed as normal since your wife's x-ray is done.
If the baby is going to be born in Canada then there's nothing you need to do since the child will be a Canadian citizen by birth.
However, if you want your baby to born in your country then you will have to include your child in your PR application.

Hi Guys,

Can you help with this pls,

AOR: 30th march
Medical passed: 10th april
Since then BG status - your application is in process we will let u know when we begin the bg check.

Next, i got an update yesterday:

BG status : same as above
Received the ‘how to get a job in Canada’ email stating how to be prepared for it.

Also the Additional document section got updated from ‘we will let you know if we need additional docs’ to ‘we don’t need any additional docs’.

Under what process am I now?

Hello Emmemm07,

I do not have any plans to travel with new born to Canada. Can I sponsor her at a later stage once I was able to secure a job?

In this case can I not inform CIC at this point?

It's a tricky one. If the child is born before you get your PPR then you have to inform CIC or you won't be able to sponsor the child later in future.

I knew one of friend received how to get a job in Canada’ message about one week before PPR. For her, this message is the sign for PPR. I think maybe yours will be PPR soon, too.

Thanks for the reply.

I am planning wait for 2 more months to see if I can get a PR. I will approach CIC about the pregnancy in 5 th month with the additional required proof of funds.
