Hello. I am new on this forum. I have a complicated issue and I need urgent help. My family applies for a family class application. And my father was asked to submit a Fbi report. Now the result of that FBI report shows that he was arrested for illegal work as a student in 1978. And they also wrote deportattion on the report, but I think he finished his study at the university before leaving, maybe he wasn't really forced to leave. The issue is that we didn't write this in our application. Will this in any way affect our visa approval? I'm really scared and worried. I need advice and help please.

Since your father not get Pr yet. you should definitely tell CIC about this omission as soon as possiblr

If somebody has interest, (because I think few peoples may have the same situations)

Last update: They got letter from CIC for sponsorship application interview for him and his spouse. Asked to bring passport too, but his passport is seized by CBSA ....

I have question: is any way he may get arrest (deportation order) after or before interview?

Thanks,

Hi one of my friend got deported from Canada around 1995/1996. He is applying to come to New Zealand. Will his biometrics be available to NZ immigration? It’s been 21+ years

He needs to be 100% honest about the deportation in his application to NZ. He should assume all historical data is available and will be found during background checks.

@Dhudson, how was your friend’s outcome? I’m in a similar situation. Your friend should’ve had a copy of the expired passport instead of requesting a new one. Some people got approved when they did that. I hope things worked out.
