I would venture that 90% or more of those situations are because some peoples background checks take longer than others. It's fundamentally incorrect to compare the processing of individual applications beyond AOR.

I disagree with that, using the background check as an excuse for the delay makes no sense. There are people who left the country many times who got invites before other people who didn't leave the country once. Background check should be the same for everyone and please don't tell me that people from a particular background get scrutinized more, causing the delay. The delay most likely originates from the way different officers deal with applications and this is where we find the inconsistency.

Yes, I guess that's on the checklist of the background check.

Hi there, I applied from Mississauga in Oct 2017 and got AOR in Nov 2017, IP in Jan 2018 - haven't heard anything yet for the test date.
Is that usual?
I was checking the spreadsheet on the forum, 58% have got their test dates.
What should I do?
