My Citizenship application package was delivered on Feb 7th, 2018- at least that’s what’s indicated on the Canada post courier tracking. But I am yet to receive AOR. Should I be concerned ? I tried to call CIC but looks like their agents are busy, my call went unanswered. I have been trying to call couple of times now. Is there a way to know if the package was actually received?
Thanks in advance for your help everyone!

It seems that the time for moving from AOR to IP status has increased for January and February Applicants. Like for the past year, it would take below 30 days for the transition. But for January 2018, with 50% response, the average is 33, and for February 2018, the first non-urgent case reported is 41 days. Of course too soon to judge, but hopefully it would not exceed a 40-day average!

How about to get an AOR?

Ok thanks! Is they a way to know if the package was received? In my case Canada post says yes, but no AOR. What’s your thoughts?
Well, my thoughts are if the status does not change within 60 days from your time sending the package then give them a call. Running through the excel datasheets, these numbers are averages. I have seen people getting AOR after 50 and 60 days. Also note that some urgent processing cases do lower the average, it can be skewed.
When you sent the package, did you send it with proof of delivery option? A signature and tracking. If you did that, and you know they have it, at least you know your package was not lost in the mail. If they have it, wait 60 days!

Yes, it was sent with a proof of delivery- signature and tracking. If I’m to go by that, it was received. I guess it’s a matter of time with patience. Thanks!
