Hello friends,

In the first week of April, 2018 our Visa office requested for CSQ within 30 days. However, we applied for CSQ in the last week of March, 2018. Now my questions are

1. How long does it take to issue the CSQ... I know the generalized time frame, but is it possible to get earlier or any cases. I did not receive any kind of govt assistance previously ( I mean loans or welfare etc).

2. If I fail to provide CSQ within the time frame what will happen.

your suggestions will be highly appreciated

Ok that sounds great. In a week or two you will get the csq. You will get through the process of course in less than a year because the average is 7 to 9 months till ppr. Stay cool. We will get there.

For sponsorship applications meds are requested way earlier than for the regular pr stream. For the latter, it is requested at the final stages. But for spousal sponsorship they request it usually at the same time with Schedule A and PCCs....and thats when the background checks start. Once you get all those requests which usually come up successively during the first 3 months of applying, expect a quiet period of about 3 to 6 months before getting the PPR. The first decision made received at the early stages affirms sponsorship approval...its not the final decision for the application.

Thats good news. Dont get worked up. File number is the same as CSQ number. Pretty sure your csq has been issued. Call them in the morning to confirm. I havent seen anyone who has gotten csq more than the 25 days deadline from the day the file was received at their office. So you wont be an exception so dont bother
