Hey! You should use the eDO option. Same thing. You get your fingerprints done, go on FBI webcite complete the online form. mail the card to the FBI. And you will get results within 2-3 days. And within 2 weeks in your mail box.
I also sent my card in the end of November (before they started to do it electronicaly with eDO) and I got those results in the middle of March..so they probably processing December aplicants there now... My advise do eDO.
Hopefully it will all work out. Thank you for your help.Yeah, you should be fine. I did contact them just because it had reached four months and I hadn't heard anything. But the work permit came through 2 days after they responded.
I personally didn't work. I'd moved to a new area so I left it until my new work permit came through.
I did them again. I wasn't sure that my fingerprint card was good enough, i was worried they will deny it. But luckily both went trough. I went to the other place - place Versales (Montreal) something like that... And did them there. It came out better and cheapper! I ussd FedEx both times to send it. So yes i had tracking numbers. Btw! With eDO in your online account you see when they received your card. And as soon as they open your envelope they process it very fast.Okay thanks so EDo option looks like the best.
But did you have a tracking number on your mail you originally sent to the FBI or did you redo it?
Because I didnt do the tracking number and I dont know if I want to repay for my fingerprints and send it all over again.
They say Etobicoke is the busiest office in the country, seen someone say recently it's currently around 11 weeks wait at that office.Open question for anyone that has landed recently/has a landing appointment: how long did it take between DM and landing?
I'm expecting to wait at least a month.
Edit: I'll be processed at the Etobicoke office.
ecas is mycic ?August 2017 applicant here, does anyone know if the Online-tool is supposed to update for every knew update? The last message I got was for AOR and about them requesting the Schedule A and the police check. My account however has updated to background check in process and Medical processed but no change on the online tool. Also, what does ecas stand for? and is it just the name for the online tool?
Thanks

Thank you very much for your help!I don't recommend travelling after your landing interview until you receive the PR card, especially if you are out of status. When they invite you for a landing interview, they ask you if you have any travel plans, if you say yes, they reschedule the interview till after you come back, so that you are in the country until you get your PR card.
If you are out of the country and don't have your PR card, then you have to apply for a PRTD from the country you are visiting, but often times, that requires filling in forms and submitting to the embassy of that country, and it can take from a few weeks to a month or so to get a PRTD. It just becomes a big hassle.
BUT this is only because the airline will not let you travel to Canada without a valid PR card or a permit etc. They don't accept the COPR etc. That's the real challenge. IF somehow you can convince the airline to let you on the flight, then when you land in Canada, the CBSA at the airport will let you in on a COPR. The port of entry rules that CBSA uses to determine if you can be let in can be found here in detail: https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf04-eng.pdf
So the real challenge is about taking the risk. When was your landing interview, and when is your travel date? I would suggest you wait for the PR card.
Another way is if you know someone here who can check your mail and then courier your PR card to you directly in the other country, however if this method is legal is of question, because courier mail is checked too, and normally sending ID documents like passport or ID cards are often checked by customs officials to ensure no fake ids and passports are illegally being smuggled etc.
No, nothing. I am October 4th. The batch of med requests for Jun-Aug applicants went out in late March. Considering the last main batch of med requests was in November, I have a feeling it's going to be a few months before we hear anything. But maybe I am wrong.Any update on PR October in-land applicants?
