I’m new to this forum.. I need some advice from you guys... I applied to sponsor my husband who is in France.

Jan 4 2018: send again all the police reports and proof that he is and never been part of that organizations
final decision on April 4 2018

Today my husband received a letter saying he is inadmissible because they still think he was or a member of LTTE. Plus they are saying we can’t appeal.

Anyone of you have any idea what can I do about this.please help me

Hi Ishna,
I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Just like what everyone else has said, you need to find a lawyer who can help you with this. Talk to your husband clearly about what you will need to do, if they think he is from LTTE, make sure to check to see if these are false accusations. His name or identity might have been in the newsletter, records, etc. In all, its good to ask your husband why they think this way, I am not going to say anything but some people may have been involved in certain activities involuntarily. Again, I am not judging anyone, but it's better to break the ice and speak with your lawyer to make this a better process. I hope all goes well for you, good luck! I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE! I just received a msg on gckey asking for additional documents. They are asking for travel history and additional family info forms filled again. Also they ask for notice of assessment of sponsor and letter from current employer. Our app changed to bcg in processing few days back. App received date is 21 aug 2017. Anyone had similar experiences? Please help im freaking out and panicking

This is completely normal, my husband and I had to do this along with our applications. Do not freak out!

Also is it normal for them to ask for sponsor’s notice of assessment and current employer letter at this time?

Yes, I sent this along with my application as well. It would be nicer if the letter had your salary information and any Group Benefits you may have. They transferred our application to Colombo in a month with all of these documents. It's better to have more supporting documents than to have none. Hope this helps

Thanks for the information! Did they ask these information from you before transferring the file to colombo? My file was transferred in october and medicals are also passed in January. Recently the background check also went into processing. That’s why im worried that this might extend the processing of our application too much

We did it before and had sent it over along with our applications. I think this was a new regulation that they started practising hence why they may have asked you about it now.
You might be hearing some good news soon!

I really hope so. But I did send my notice of assessment and employer letters along with pay stubs with the application. My lawyer doesn’t understand why they are asking for travel info and sponsors details at this point. But I am going to stay positive and hope they will process these documents soon. Im so tired of waiting, as we all are!
