Me and my husband currently live in the U.S.A, and filed EE under FSW for Canada. We received invitation to apply for PR. Now we have started gathering documents and need to understand what are the mistake we should avoid before submitting our documents for PR?
Previously, we received invitation for the same but they did not ask for IELTS score card in the documentation list so we did not submit it. Due to that our application got refused and we re-submitted our new application EE profile. So this is our 2nd chance to apply for PR and we do not want to make anymore mistakes.

Please Advise.

Thanks in Advance!

Hey Stanlee,
Can you please help me with below query?

I am not clear with the Section showing proof of funds(settelment funds).

Below statment is showing on canada goverment site:-

For proof, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you are keeping money.

Letter(s) must list:

  • all current bank and investment accounts
  • outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans
What i have is-
I can get official letter from my bank for my saving and checking accounts.

My question is-
Am I required to submit the same official letter from credit cards companies to show my debts?

Please Advice.

Thanks in advance!

No need to show credit card statements- just show that you have the minimum balance as set out by them.

Like mentioned above not required..

Just your account with required funds would suffice.

IF you look at my signature I have only submitted documents after ITA and yet to receive PR but fire away the questions

I understand. I hope you will get your PR soon! Thanks for giving me a chance to asking further question.
My middle name and surname have been changed after my marriage. My previous name has been used in my all education and experianced letters, however in my new passport my middle name and surname get changed after marraige.
1. Should I have to submit name change affidavit for this? Or explaination letter should be sufficiant?
2. After submitting all the documents for PR, How much time canada goverment will take to approve it?
3. Anything that you want to mention from your side to avoid mistakes while submitting documents?

The bets option always is provide as much of document as possible of things you have a slight doubt on

i will explain to the best of my knowledge

1. Should I have to submit name change affidavit for this? Or explaination letter should be sufficiant?

please provide the name change affidavit as that is more of a legal document. LOE along with affidavit will suffice

2. After submitting all the documents for PR, How much time canada goverment will take to approve it?

The time line says 6 months as per Canadian immigration. It can vary from 30 days to 2 months to 3 months to 6 months or more if they require any additional document etc.It varies from case to case .Just be hopeful that everything is in order and youl get it soon

3. Anything that you want to mention from your side to avoid mistakes while submitting documents?

just some hints

1.PCC from Indian consulate and FBI should have at least 3 months on it before you submit so that you have ample time.
2.Bank statements plus a letter from bank will always help youre cause
3.Try to get Experience letter form HR with responsibilities
4.See if any documents need to be translated like Birth certificate etc.

Thanks for the detailing. I appriciate it. One more question come into my mind , hope you don’t mind.
Should I need to submit my birthcertificate? If yes, is it part of miscellaneous field?
