Hey everyone,

I recently got a NOI for OINP on the 26th of March, but I'm in a weird situation with my work experience.

I started working full-time(40 hours) on the 21st of April 2017, so I technically only have 11 months and change of experience.

I created my express entry profile on March 14, and selected April 2017 as starting date (can only select months on EE). On EE I always appeared as eligible for CEC, even though I didn't complete 12 full months yet. So I'm not sure if they calculate the hours equivalent to 1560 or how it works at all.

Now making my OINP application, this section is kind of scary: Note: Any work experience obtained after you received your Notification of Interest through your IRCC online account will not count towards the minimum 12 months of work experience required. You must have accumulated at least 12 months of work experience by the date that you received your NOI to qualify under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

They ask for the specific day I started working, instead of just the month as well. So I'd be filling my employment start date as 21st of April 2017, while my NOI was on 26th of March 2018.

Do you all think I would get rejected?
As per my knowledge, they won't reject your and will be accepted as they count the hours and will give points before completing one year.

Not feeling so confident for a draw today. If it happens it will be the 2nd draw in less than 14 days interval, which if happens, will be great for us. However, that scenario is not very likely in my opinion but I would loved to be wrong on this.

Hi, friends I received my ITA on 26 march and unfortunately lost my passport.

I was getting all my documents ready for the post ITA. In the process I was on my way to embassy on 30th march to get my PCC but some how I was successful in screwing my passport.
I went to embassy rite away and informed them I had lost my passport, and filed a police complaint with Toronto police.
I am going trough the website of embassy and BSF, Process to apply for duplicate passport under Lost/Damaged.
It looks like I have to wait anything between 3 weeks to 2 months which seems to make the situation more worst.
I am wondering any one had similar situation and had got their passport under Emergency scheme or under Tatkal scheme please guide me.

If you work 3 hours per day (15 hours per week), then you will learn French in 6 month, then 2 months for TEF training, at total 7-8 month will be enough to get CLB7 or above
But if you work hard and practice a lot with some French speaking guy, then you will get CLB7 in 5-6 months, I know these experiences based on my some friends, we have a group as well in whatsapp (in this regard - please address to @trumprefugee ), I'm helping some people over there, if you want - you can join in :)
Good luck!
I am currently learning French, and self studying for TEF Canada. I found many resources for French language learning. However, unlike the IELTS, for which there are many practice papers and resources to simulate the exam and do focused preparation for the exam, for the TEF, I found hardly any resources. Could you kindly suggest some resources/sites for TEF training?

There are some groups on Facebook that I found very useful - just search Comment se préparer au TEF Canada.Here you can find links, photos and so on. I also used the book TEF - 250 activites...and watched a lot of TV5Monde..

Hello, can you pls share from which university are you pursuing your 6 months PG course? And also do you know any distant learning university which can allow to finish 12 months course within 6 months course taking EXTRA credits? Thanks
Open university.

You would need permission from the faculty heads to take two semesters as once, I doubt they would agree it if you have no prior study history with them and I believe registration is closed for the year now.

Hi there,

For listening : listen all the time news radio, watch some good films on youtube;
For reading : learn as many words as possible, and learn some expressions too;
For writing you should find someone with experience in TEF, find someone who got CLB9 and not CLB7;
For speaking : it's the same as writing part, find someone who speaks fluently, that person should be at the level of the (minimum) CLB9
Then you learn quickly and efficiently without question

Please visit: Tv5 monde website, you will find some listening videos and search learning french section, there is a real test as well, TCF test, you can practise that;
see this page too: https://www.lefrancaisdesaffaires.fr/outils-preparation-tef/ - you will see 2 books, those are essential ones, TEF test's problem is that you can't find that much resources unfortunately;
Please be our member in the TEF learning group on Whatssapp, there are some many resources, you will get so many links, that will be enough,
You can PM me and write your number, I'll send it to my friends, then they will add you

Good luck!

Hello,
I have just received my TEF results. Can you please tell me where I can find the Language test PIN?
Thank you
Congrats,
May I ask your results? and Can you tell how long did it take to learn French? French is your second language?
This is just for my students, as you know I tell some nice stories to them in order to give a motivation

PS: answer to your question - It's actually the second raw of the certificate number. You have 14 number in the certificate number. For example if it is 1234567 - 4567890 you just enter the second raw after the hyphen which is 4567890.

Good luck!

Which country you appeared in for the test?
What went wrong with speaking?
Was it all self taught?
Wonderful you got clb 9 with self study.
Kudos mate.
Could you please guide on how to book a date for TEF
I'm not from India so my experience with the test arrangement wouldn't give you much info, sorry. By the way, I booked the date by starting an email communication with the center.
The problem with the speaking part was that I wasn't prepared for that. The exam itself was the first occasion to actually talk with someone in French.
Yes, I'm 100% self taught. No courses, no online groups... I know I should have attended those, but I just didn't have enough time for that and also I had to restrict the spending in order to keep the requested bank balance.
Disclaimer: my experience (15 months for what I've achieved) isn't about the records to beat. Sincerely, I couldn't do that in 6 months. No, no way for me to set aside 3 hours a day for dedicated studies or courses to attend. I simply can't afford the luxury of real, concentrated studying. I've got hard work in IT to do, my brain just swells enough from that alone. I've got my parents and my kids to take care of too and lots of other hassles. I'm sure it's the situation common to many of you, so you know what I feel. My message is a ROH directed to this kind of folks. No matter what, it is still possible to achieve something if you have persistence to spend time for studying whenever you find spare 10 minutes. These are like small pieces which sums up in an hour or two a day but it still pays off.

Guys, I did get ita in Monday's draw but had to decline as when I started obtaining experience certificates, I noticed that 2 of previous companies are closed and bo way to get the letter.
Now I have edited my profile n removed all past companies except current n last employer.
My crs score is unchanged and will surely get another ita as I am sitting at 455.

My doubt is rhta is it ok of what I did to save me now and cic later for verification from pain of approaching so many companies?

Any advise is welcomed
Not sure why you thought it was prudent to reject your ITA because you could not approach your previous employers even though your CRS would be unchanged. You could have moved those experiences to the personal history section and submitted experience letters for the remaining sections.

If there's a draw today, at least one guy will be losing out on his or her ITA because you'll be bagging it with 453.
