For all the time I've been following this forum it was never so full of joy, even when the score was down to 413. It's truly a fine Christmas gift. This frustration and wait for the lower scores was becoming unbearable for many. Finally that 440 curse was lifted! Congratulations!!!

I have finally achieved my goal with the French language. My score now is 477 (was 437), without French it would be as low as 426. It took me a bit less than two years from a zero start. So yes, it's possible to conquer this system even if your age is that of a dinosaur. I feel like dinosaur in...

Wow, what a result! Very inspiring and this gets you the bonus points too. But what is more important is that this language skills will help you to compete better in the job market, which is even more important than the ITA stage. Canada isn't a paradise country with high paid qualified jobs...

I'm not from India so my experience with the test arrangement wouldn't give you much info, sorry. By the way, I booked the date by starting an email communication with the center. The problem with the speaking part was that I wasn't prepared for that. The exam itself was the first occasion to...

My mistake was that I didn't prepare enough for the Speaking part. I should have at least hired somebody to practice it with. Now, it turned out that the exam was the first occasion for me to actually speak with somebody in french. As for reading and listening it was pretty simple for me: a...

Yes, I was learning by myself but I feel that if I had attended courses that would have helped me more at least to prepare for the speaking part. I started at the beginning of 2017.

Unfortunately I don't know another romance language but nevertheless knowing English also gives a considerable boost. I assume that if you participate in Express Entry you already have solid English knowledge or maybe it is even your mother tongue. So do not underestimates yourself by saying...

Speaking and Writing was far worse for me. I'd be lucky to get B1 for those. This is the way it is when you self-study. I didn't take any courses simply for the lack of time and resources for that. Also French is my fourth language, so for example when I try to speak it the other 3 are...

It seems that CIC is not necessarily following the "every second" week approach but rather "only two draws a month" one. So far it holds true if we look at the number of monthly rounds starting from September 2017 (disregard the irrelevant November 1 rounds). Needless to say, I hate this very much.

Personally, I prefer the French version of the anthem. True, it is not politically correct but it is authentic and true.

I've used a variety of different methods. There is no special way for me. I just try to do many activities and try to look at the learning process from various angles. It is this mosaic pattern that also helped me to prepare for English exam and max out the points for it. However I've been...
