How Much Time It Takes From Passport to Visa Stamped via VFS

I sent mine and my husband's passport to NVDO via VFS on March' 7. PR application got approved on cic on march' 21. VFS status still shows that the passports are beings processed at NDVO. Any estimate as to how much more time before we get our passports back?
Me and my husband have a flight to USA on April ' 15 as part of a business travel. We need our passports back before april' 15.

I have been in the same situation; Submitted passports at VFS Bangalore on 07-Mar and CIC approval was updated on 15-Mar. VFS still shows under process and I had to cancel my travel twice since 22-Mar.

NDVO has not been responsive to emergency requests on email/through VFS as well. hopefully the passports should arrive this week. Fingers crossed

May be those who have previous travel multiple times to different countries. Time it takes for NDVO to return stamped passports it takes more time. Not sure if are checking stamps with travel history or something.

i have question how you track your passport from VFS ???.bcz i send my passport last week thursday and via DHL post ,today the VAC office recieved it.
kindly help me with the tracking to check my passport the way you guys did...

You should have received a 20 digit tracking number from VFS when they received your passports and PPR Letter or an application reference number.

Call up VFS for details on applications sent through courier as I am not aware of process for same

How is the VFS office for visa stamping determined ? Is it from the region from where your file was filed or from your country of residence ? My file was filed in India but I have been residing in Australia for past 2 years .

I have another query . Considering you guys have got ppr how much time is mentioned for first official entry to Canada ?

When you get PPR email, you will instructed where to submit your docs.
If your mailing address isn't Canada or USA, you should email Case Processing center, asking for an instruction regarding place to submit your docs.

In response to your other question, ideally you have to land before your medical or passport expires (whichever expires earlier).

Did you got PPR? If not, you will be probably asked to re-take medicals.
If you already got PPR, you should email respective processing center asking for medical extension. They will guide you.

CIC status updated to “Approved” just now, but VFS tracking still says processing in NDVO. Maybe it will take another week for them to send the passport

No I haven’t . In 2 weeks it will be almost 9 months since my application was filed . I just wanted to know these things . Thank s for the help .

Submitted passport on 14th march at Ahmadabad vfs office. dispatched passport from NDVO on 28th march n received on 30th.

hey i just want to know something. by mistake i took click of my COPR letter by someone else mobile. he said he deleted it after forwarding it to me but i have doubt if he have a print somewhere with him can he misuse it?

Just recieved the msg on VFS portal that passports have been dispatched today.

Submitted at Bangalore VFS - 7th Mar'18
Passport reached Delhi on : 8th Mar'18
Approved in CIC account: 15th Mar'18
Document reprocessed : 04 Apr’18 (
Passport dispatched: 04 Apr’18

VFS confirmed on call that passport will be available by tomorrow
