There's really not much you can do but wait. Keep in mind that the 1 year processing time is an estimate for straight forward cases. You've had additional document and PCC requests and (I believe?) a dismissed DUI to deal with - so that unfortunately means you shouldn't be expecting normal processing times.

Yes we had to submit a state pcc for 2 states, update fbi pcc and court dockets.

All are 110% clean and were received just under 1 month ago

That's great news. However I would still tack on a few months of extra processing time for your application (on top of the year). Anytime there's an additional document request, the application is effectively non-standard and will likely take longer to process.

We just called the call center and the docs are waiting to be reviewed. Guess all we can do is wait!

My husband had a dismissed DUI (from like thirty years ago!) and had to submit documentation for that, as well as two state PCCs, and he still went through in just under six months. But he was processed through Ottawa. I think one of the reasons your app is taking so long might be that you got caught in the confusion when Mississauga started doing all the outland applications that normally went to Ottawa. Everything seemed to be rather chaotic for a while and no one knew what was going on with their applications. Didn't you mention previously that your app just sat there for a really long time and no one seemed to be doing anything with it? I've noticed other posters commenting that Mississauga has sped up quite a bit, so I would take that as a positive sign. The person who has your file might just be overwhelmed and trying to catch up.

Yep. Our file was sent to Ottawa where eligibility was started. After that it was sent to Mississauga on July 17 where nothing was done until feb 5 when we got a doc request.

I think that is one reason ours is taking long - from being passed between 2 VO’s

Yup, you were also one of the unlucky ones just like us. It took them 3 or 4 weeks to open our app again after Mexico sent our app to Argentina and another month for them to schedule an interview and then after that everything happened very fast. Hopefully they will finalize everything after they open your app again as I think they still have the objective to keep their stats for processing times to around 12 months plus or minus one or 2 months.

@scylla is eligibility has passed and I received the pre arrival email, does that mean the dismissed dui is not an issue?

Sorry - I am not smart enough to know the answer to that question. I would be tempted to say yes - but nothing ever seems certain with IRCC.

Eligibility is based on a lot of things, but I would think the background check would kind of be mixed in with it. Obviously, if someone fails the background check, they wouldn't be eligible for permanent residency. I've wondered if that might be a reason why they wait until the very end to update everything in the GCKey. Seems logical.

I wouldn't worry too much about the dismissed DUI. It's fairly common, I think. My husband had one and he's now a resident.
