Do you have income to qualify if they insist your ex-spouse must be included in family size since you're not legally divorced yet?

Yup i still qualify but i dont want to include my ex in application. i guess its gonna be lil complicated for me describing my marital status...

Hi i got invited to sponsor my parents this 2018, I am single but i have dependent in philippines but he wont be here until july 2018, now I have to submit my complete application for pgp sponsorship by may 28, 2018. Do i have to count my son as family member even he is not here yet when i submit pgp sponsorship application? Or I will just count myself, my mother and my father? I hope you guys understand my question

Ps my son got his pr this december but decided to go back after his landing to finish his school year, he was only a week when he visit me this december. I hope you could help guys

He is still your son, i.e. your dependent, whether he is currently in canada or not.
So you have to include him for your family size.

Hi I got invited to sponsor my father. My Mom died few years ago and my dad has a new wife and a daughter. Do I need to pay for his wife and daughter even if they are not accompanying my dad?

New to this thread and indeed need guidance;


My wife received an invitation (on 21st March) to sponsor her parents, I am co-signing the applications.

My brother in law who is going to be 18 in April, will be depended child under his parents application and my sister in-law, she is turning 22 on 29 May 2018. Our application due prior 25th May 2018.

We are family of 4 and intend to sponsor 4 more (father in-law + mother in-law + brother in-law + sister in-law)


my question is,

1. By the time I send in the applications, she still be under 22 years old. Will IRCC consider her depended or they will just refuse the application? During the process she will be over 22 years.

Wanted to clarify that if your brother is married or common law he can not be included as a dependent on your parents' application.

Don't include your in-laws, as they are not part of your family size since they won't be sponsored. So just put 5.

Situations can change from lottery to submitting app, so it won't be a problem.

I don’t mind if CIC charges a fee like $50 for people to fill out the forms. If there is a fee associated with this, people will take it more serious.

Non refundable fee of $500 or more. Even if that's not idiot proof, atleast legitimate candidates will have the satisfaction that idiots were hurt.

That fee gets applied towards your application, if you're eligible.
