Hi i am in canada on work visa and i want my family to be called upon and i have a kid too. I just want to confirm education for children is free of cost or do i have to pay for fees

It is free if you have a work permit. You will have to apply for a student visa for your children and an OWP for your spouse.

I have a kid but he is only 5 years will he also required student visa

Yes. Children start school by 4/5 in Canada so will need a student visa.
