I was recently convicted of Harassment B, none DV and will still have 6 months left on probation. Can I apply for the necessary permit to enter Canada at the border? Or must I apply online? Plan on entering early June and returning to the lower 48 for family medical emergency.
Not sure what the best process is for this, please advise.

Thank you!

You're currently inadmissible to Canada and will need a TRP to enter. Yes - you can try applying at the border. Online processing times are typically long. Approval is not guaranteed and the fact you are still on probation may complicate things. Make sure you bring all of your court documents and TRP paperwork when you go to the border

Hello

This was questions was posed on another thread but when completing the TRP application is there a need to send the FBI/State Police clearance or is that only required for Rehabilitation

I am also in the process of completing the TRP form and continue to receive conflicting information

Thanks

I was told you need to supply all requested documents which are the final court docs, according to me understanding.
I'm looking for the TRP application, can you post a link please? Thanks!

The more I look into this, the more it seems like the main purpose of this process is to identify potential fugitives. All of the required information appears focused on equating U.S. charge(s) to Canadian equivalent(s) (so as to compare apples-to-apples) and to verify that every element of a given sentence has been satisfied. Obviously they want to filter out maniacs, but I can see where it would be a major headache to have to deal with deportation, etc., because someone with "a single DUI from 20 years ago," is really a wanted felon in the U.S.

My charges and sentences overlay almost perfectly with Canadian equivalents. I completed everything in a correct and timely fashion, so let's hope that's what they need to see.

Hello

I have reviewed the documents multiple times and believe I am going to get as much of the information as possible along with paying the fee as it seems to be stated on multiple websites and send my documents in

Once a decision is received I will continue to update to keep you posted on what worked vs what was needed

thank you
