Hey all,

Can anyone share their test and interview experience held at Surrey ? I heard test questions are different at different offices and Surrey is much harder than Vancouver is that true ?

How early you need to be present for at the test schedule time ? Please advice ?

Thanks,
arian

I've not had my test in Surrey. That said, it seems unlikely that any one office has consistently easier or harder tests; multiple test sheets are used even within a single session. As any one test taker will see at most two tests (assuming they failed the first) there doesn't seem to be much of a basis for comparison anyway.

You need to arrive before or at the scheduled time. Fifteen minutes early seems a reasonable time to aim for, I expect. If you are part of the first group you're unlikely to be allowed in much earlier than that. If your time is later in the day you'll most likely be allowed in and just spend a lot of time waiting. Note that arriving late (even a little) may mean you will not be allowed to sit the test that day.

Hi,
I had my test in Surrey last month and passed it with 20/20.

Here is my advice:

1- Study well the official study guide. Read it 2 or 3 times and do as many online tests as you can.
2- Be there half an hour early. There’s a Tim Hortons or a Starbucks nearby where you can wait if you happen to arrive early. It’s always strongly recommended to arrive very early thus to avoid any unforeseen stressful incident that will make you lose your concentration.
3- All test takers are invited to wait in a wait room.
4- When you enter the test room, you will not be allowed to leave it before you hand in your test card.
5- A PowerPoint présentation will be made to show how to fill in the test answer card before the test.
6- Every test taker will receive 2 sets of test questions.
7- When you hand in your test answer card, you will leave the test room and return to the wait room where you will be waiting for your interview.
8- The interview duration varies from a candidate to another. My questions were mainly about my personal life in and before Canada. The CO or interviewer will mainly test your language proficiency in French or English. My first language is French but I chose to do it in English and it went great.

I hope this helps.

Good luck with your test and interview.

Thank you so much! for detailed response!! really appreciate it..just wondering what you mean by 2 sets of test questions ?
Also, I am finding hard to memorize the Canada History chapter's events specially the 1812 War..any tips to memorize those events

Every candidate will receive 2 handouts of questions for the test. You will choose one. At the time you hand in your test answer card you will also return both test questions handouts.
For the rest, I will say study the study guide. Learn as much as you can.

you mean to say, we should answer only one of the 2 handouts? It's confusing
