WES Reference Number and ECA#

Hello guys,

I have a question in regards the ECA, I chose WES and I am about to pay, but I see they are charging me $85 CAD, for International Courier (UPS or TNT based on country) or - $7.00 if I choose, standard Mail via Canada Post. My question is: Do I need the physical report to submit my Express Entry application or can I use the ECA report that they will provide online (PDF)?

I am in the same boat. But, my evaluation is in progress. However, I am unable to create or submit the EE profile, since you will need the ECA report reference number and the date of issuance, which are required to be given in your EE profile. I called WES and inquired, whether I could receive the electronic version, rather than waiting for the post. They unfortunately denied and mentioned clearly only standard way to receive the report is via POST. However, please note that WES sends the electronic version to CIC via email. Therefore, if you are in hurry, you might have to consider the UPS/TNT. If you don't mind waiting, go for the standard delivery.

the online report is exactly the same as the print report. You are in EE creation phase you can use the info from the online report. You need the hard copy if you want to scan and upload your wes evaluation in your POST ITA profile.

Does WES send ONLINE report to the candidate/ is it viewable through our WES profile account? Please verify it clearly. I called and inquired and the representative mentioned that they do not provide e-reports; and only send standard-paper based reports to candidates. So that I thought, I must have to wait until I receive the post from WES.

I understand that the copy of the electronic report is downloadable as PDF which is exactly same as the one you receive by post.

I am sorry and got to know that the copy of the electronic report is downloadable as PDF which is exactly same as the one you receive by post. Therefore, you would be able to create your EE profile right after you receive an update for the completion of your ECA. Good luck. I guess you choose the standard delivery, because it does not make any sense to have your paper report within few days through UPS.

You can create it the moment you know the ECA number and the date of the report.

Hey Buddy,

Yes, 7 digit no is your reference number. You need the report date as well for creating EE profile, so you need to wait till the assessment is completed. No need to wait for physical report delivery, you can access your online report through your Wes account.

I got online assessment report on March 14th, 2018. It states they have dispatched the report to IRCC, should i wait for sometime before creating my EE profile ? It asking for ECA certificate number, my doubt is is if the certificate number is 1234567 or 1234567IMM ?

You don't need to ask them to send it to IRCC. Just add the IELTS TRF number and create your profile.
Verifying is their headache.

How do i get my IELTS TRF number... do i need to wait for physical copy?
