Citizenship application in August 2017

Today was the Oath Ceremony. It went smooth and happily. There were 72 persons. The judge made an introduction, then we took the oath. Then the judge distribute the certificates and finally we sang O Canada and then left.

I would like to thank all of you in this thread. You were all helpful, and I built a good relationship with most of you here.

Thank you again, and I wish all of you a quick citizenship journey. A last advice that should be helpful for all, be patient. Ultimately, everyone of us will get the citizenship![/QUOTE

I am guessing most people who wrote the test in January (in Ottawa) are still waiting for the oath notice.

No, people who did test in mid feb also got oath invite.

Looks like they are processing new rule application fast!

Our turn is coming hopefully let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope by May Month our process are finished.my application was also send and Aug 25 and receive Aug 28 good luck.

My application was also delivered on August 28. In Process on November 10, 2017. No news since then. Have no idea how to speed it up .

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 22, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on September 28, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on November 9, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 28, 2017 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on February 8, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on March 6, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. You became a Canadian citizen on March 6, 2018.

... Today my status changed to Complete, yesterday was the ceremony of my oath citizenship in Mississauga, the ceremony was so simple, we started at 09:45 AM and we ended everything before 11:00 AM. We were around 100 persons. They told us to give two business days before we can apply for the passport so the CIC can enter and update the data of ours records in the system, the ceremony was yesterday, Wednesday so we can apply next Monday.
So my journey of this process arrived to the end. Thank to all of you for your helps, advice and response and I wish to all of you to get the good news for the test or oath ceremony appointment ASAP ... Good Luck.

Now I can say ... Canadian is Canadian is Canadian​
