Does anyone else got pre arrival invitation letter for services funded by Canadian govt during background check? My wife got it today...

Also please update spread sheet background check started 6 Mar 2017... applicant of September 2017

Hi.
what does final review mean? n initial review mean??
I got an email from lvo in response to an enquiry.
It says ur application awaits a initial view.

They haven't checked anything in London basically. Probably be another few months if you're lucky it may be less.

ALHUMDULILA received stamped Passport...

Here is the complete timeline.....

App received: 25 May, 2017
Aor: 24th June
Schedule A & additional docs: 21 July
Aor 2 (File sent to LVO): 3 August
Interview letter: 29 January, 2018
Interview date: 6 March

Visa officer approved application right after interview and took 2 pp size pictures along with passport.

(Interview update: I was scheduled today for interview at Canadian High Commission Islamabad. I recached there at 1200 hrs. The guy at reception took all the documents from me and asked me to wait for your call. I waited almost 1 and half hour then he announce my name for interview.

The visa officer was pretty polite and he welcome me in the room with “Asalam o Alikum”. He asked me almost all the questions about our relationship and information written on PR application forms. Likes, dislikes of my wife, personality etc. He didn’t call sponsor during interview.

At the end he told me that he has approved my application and took my passport and two pp size photos. He further told me to wait for the BGC completion then we will dispatch your passport on your home address.)

Passport and COPR received: 8 March

Thank you everyone this group was real help in whole process. May Allah (swt) help all of you to get through this agonistic process asap.

I have sent an email to LVO for inquiry on my application, it says they will respond in 28 business days. Is it really 28 business days? has someone got a reply sooner from them.

If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required." but my lawyer haven't receive any email yet.


I'm very worried it's been 7 days still no email received. what should i do?

contact LVO/CIC .. get your lawyer to do the worrying and running around .. what are you paying him/her for?

she told me that she received a email regarding what should we do after PR. nothing else she received. but i'm confused

I’m going through same situation in my case it says “we sent you additional docs request on 24th Feb” but according to my lawyer he hasnt receieved any such request.
