You can apply for a re-issue of passport up to 1 year before the expiry or within three years after the expiry of the existing passport. you can not renew the passport more than one year before the expiration date of your current passport. - passport seva kendra(india)
in my case more then one year is remaining..impossible to reissue it
the article states abt the validity but it does not states from where the reissue shuld be done before time..!!

Yes, I applied 31St Jan and I got passport request email this morning. Also, the online status under final decision says APPROVED.
Hopefully I get my visa stamped.

i cant do it..its more then a year....upto one year i can think but more then that their is no chance for the renewable

Bro there is chance you just need to mention that you are updating you address or you signature or any personal information. Or adding you matric sheet. Then you can renew.

Well if you have already submitted in embassy then you will have to wait till you get the passport.

• Change in existing personal particulars.
• Validity expired within 3 years/ Due to expire.
• Validity expired more than 3 years ago.
• Exhaustion of pages.
• Damaged passport.
• Lost passport.
