Hello,
I have been invited to Canada by my uncle (mother’s brother) to attend his son’s wedding in Mississauga. I’m 25 yo old who just graduated and don’t have a job yet. But it would really mean a lot to my cousin if i went there to attend his wedding.
There are few questions I would like to ask before i start my visa process.

I have a letter from my uncle stating the current status/annual income of his family. He owns real estate worth 2.5M CAD and all of his children are employed and earning well.
In the letter he has mentioned the annual income of all this family, provided the bank statements, the booking of the wedding event and everything.
He has also undertaken the responsibility of my finances, food, accommodation and other living expenses.

Now I’m unemployed and totally depend on my parents and my brother who is currently in Finland and has a very decent job and he can finance my whole trip to Canada including tickets and everything.

Do i need to have money in my own account or will my brother’s bank statement and affidavit work?

Regarding the close ties to my country, i have some property under my name, a father who is almost 69 years old , a mother who is 55 and a younger brother who is 17. I definitely can’t leave my parents alone for long and I intend to come back to my country as soon th event is over and I’ll be staying there for maximum 20 days.
I’ve travelled to Dubai and KSA but i guess that doesn’t make a big difference.

Can you please tell me that how should i put up a strong case to convince the consulate to issue me a visa? Thank you very much.

Here is a similar case to yours, which ended up successful, although the applicant was a student:

Since you don't have a job, maybe you can show job search efforts and interview dates? Describe the employment prospects for yourself in your country...although visa officers would already know this.

Thank you very much for the immediate response, in addition my father owns agricultural land in a small town which i plan to work on, would that work?

Actually that can be arranged, so if i had property on my name would that make it easier?
Do you suggest anything else that i can do to make a stronger case?
Maybe, but not guaranteed.
Nothing else other than the thread I gave you.

Visa officers will do the math/check the dates.... and realize that the property was transferred to your name shortly before applying just to "create" a home tie.

Also, property ownership is mostly a non-active tie that does not compel someone to return to his/her home country. Basically this means that someone can overstay.

IMO, you have a weak case and should probably defer applying for a TRV at this time:
1. You are a recent graduate + do not have any new study ties

2. You are unemployed

3. You do not have previous travel history

4. You are financially dependent on your parents + on your brother. Also, even if your brother financially supports your visit, how would you be able to access/prove you can access his finances for your visit as he lives in Finland?

5. Your parents cannot be indicated as dependent on you. I'm guessing your dad is either employed in some way/ has a business/gets a pension because you mentioned you are financially dependent on your parents.

6. Also, as the wedding is of your mom's-brother's-son, would your mom not be attending the wedding? Same for your dad? If they have applied then your family ties to your home country would reduce significantly. If your parents do not apply for TRVs for the wedding then it could seem unusual that you are applying alone, especially when you do not have any strong ties to return home to

*sighs*
Yes at this point it seems very difficult to convince them to issue a visa.
Lets just rule out the possibility of property here.
I have a bank account in which my brother sends me almost 500 CAD every month, I can provide those statements.
Would it make any difference if my brother were to provide his bank statements and an affidavit about him being my financial sponsor?
also I can have my Canadian uncle to sign on my behalf that he would be taking care of all my finances?
What is the minimum amount of funds that I need to show them ?
I have read that entire thread Bellaluna provided me of that wedding case from Philippines but since he was a still a student my case is a bit different.
My mother and father simply doesn't want to go but my other family members are also applying, they have also been granted visa for Canada and United states previously and they have been there twice, do you think I should apply with them? They are my mother's younger brother who currently lives in Pakistan.

Unfortunately, you have zero financials. Even this situation of your brother sending money is not good from a visa perspective.

Affidavits do not work and are a wasteful expense.

Your brother lives in Finland which would make it all the more difficult to prove that he can financially pay for your visit.

The Canadian's host's finances + financial support are secondary.

What is the minimum amount of funds that I need to show them ?
Typically, it is minimum CAD 1,000 per week of visit + airfare, This won't work in your case.

You are not part of their family composition. Also, unlike your uncle and his family who have visited the US and Canada earlier, you do not have travel history.

Your chances of a TRV approval are unfortunately almost zero. I would recommend you do not apply until your find a job, work for at least 6-8 months, and also establish other ties

Okay thank you very much for everything. I just have one last question. If i have 5000 CAD in my account sent to me by my brother , would that work?

A visa approval is not just about finances.

Even if you brother transfers money to your account, it does nothing for your visa approval. On the contrary, it would be glaringly obvious that you did not earn those funds.

Also, you do not have any ties to return to Pakistan + the purpose of visit will not work (Read: You would like to attend your mother's-brother's-son's wedding but your mom/your parents do not want to attend it) + no previous travel history

Ummm Okay. Well that’s because my mother is sick and father doesn’t want to leave her and my little brother alone.
So i guess there is no way and I’ll just have to give it up. Thank you for the assistance I really appreciate that.
