@legalfalcon could you please shed some light on this?Just learnt from the call center agent that gcms notes request substantially delays the application! Could someone please confirm this?
1. Please help me understand where my file stands at this moment. When can I expect the final decision on my case?Hi @legalfalcon and other members
My Aor is 14 Sep, 2017
FSW-O
1. Please help me understand where my file stands at this moment. When can I expect the final decision on my case?
2. Is there Anything to worry about? As far as I am concerned I didnt see anything in my notes to worry about. I am only worried as to why is it taking so long.(I am closing 6 months since AOR soon)
3. Is my file still at CPC- Ottawa or it is transferred to LVO? How can I know that from GCMS Notes?
I saw following changes on my account:
(12 Feb,2018) Review of Additional Documents: We do not need additional documents.
(11 Nov, 2017) Review of Additional Documents: The Additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
(Before 11 Nov, 2017) Review of Additional Documents: We do not need additional documents
I was not asked for any additional documents nor did I provide any.
I ordered GCMS Notes on January 19, 2018 and recieved on 20 February, 2018.

In the CBSA notes the security is not retracted, and it gives details of when you files were transferred to CBSA and if CBSA has concluded and submitted its report too IRCC. It has GCMS notes and security related info, which is retracted in GCMS and CBSA reports.Hi @legalfalcon
I want to order CSIS/CBSA report from getgcms note site,
I already have applied GCMS note twice via IRCC site.
My CSIS already completed and I want to know the status of my file in CBSA now,My question is as the security information are all deleted in Notes, what kind of information I can receive via choosing CSIS/CBSA from the site??
Thanks for responce
See my answer in the immediately above post. The CBSA report sill not state if CSIS has finished its involvement. It will only provide CBSA specific reports and info.Hello @legalfalcon
How helpful is CBSA report ?
I am 14th May AOR and my SS started on 24th July 17. I have no idea if CSIS completed my SS. Would CBSA report confirm if CSIS completed the security ?
Thanks!
details or delays. If its delay, then it is incorrect info as GCMS is dealt with ATIP division of IRCC. Since IRCC is obligated to provide the info, they discourage this. Had this been true, then it would have been an officially published. Instead, some applicants have seen progress in their application after requesting GCMS.Just learnt from the call center agent that gcms notes request substantially details the application! Could someone please confirm this?
HIRV refers to Human and International Rights Violation. Most applicants will never see this investigation. However, applicants from countries where there have been human rights violations, and those who have worked with the government or have political associations will have this investigation. There is no timeline, it can be as little as a day to as long as a 2 years or more.@legalfalcon,
Can you please tell me what HIRV Screening involves? My friend has been under HIRV screening with CBSA since Feb 2017 and still waiting for his PPR. I haven't come across a similar case where I can get more info on this issue. Why do they do HIRV screening? What can this mean and possibly a timeline for finishing something like this?
Thank you so much for all you are doing for us on this forum!
@legalfalcon Thank you...I meant delay...the cic call centre agent said be informed and also tell others that the processing stops until the gcms notes are released....that’s why your file is stuck in CIO...you should’ve ordered this towards the end of processing! I never asked about gcms...I called to find out why the file is stuck in cio and I’m in IP2 since Feb 27details or delays. This is factually and statistically incorrect, as applicants get PPR before the GCMS notes are released. Next time ask the call agent to provide you with a link or a manual where this is stated.@legalfalcon Thank you...I meant delay...the cic call centre agent said be informed and also tell others that the processing stops until the gcms notes are released....that’s why your file is stuck in CIO...you should’ve ordered this towards the end of processing! under the scenario that security check is completed, will gcms notes show security 'passed' like other checks? or it will keep showing as blank? This is factually and statistically incorrect, as applicants get PPR before the GCMS notes are released. It will remain blank. Only in your CBSA notes will it show as passed or in progress as CBSA notes the security is not retracted.under the scenario that security check is completed, will gcms notes show security 'passed' like other checks? or it will keep showing as blank?
