So should I go ahead and withdraw this profile?

Do not withdraw, already told you it wouldn't make a difference. Plus there's now a tie break rule in effect which favors older profiles
If you retake IELTS and get higher scores, just come back and update them in your profile.

That's not necessary. Just take IELTS again and update your profile if you get a higher score.
