Hello,

I need your guidance - How can I get my score over 430-440? Here are my details ...

Education - Masters in IT
Work ex. - 12 year +
IELTS - Band 8
Spouse has relative - Citizen
Did educational assessment
No job offer
No work ex in Canada
No study in Canada

Don't understand how this system rates? Is it for folks who haven't worked or studied there?? Please assist. Really frustrated with this system. Thank you

Also another urgent question - I haven't got ITA (which I won't most probably). Should i withdraw my profile? Is it detrimental in any way? What are the next steps in case I withdraw? Please advise. Thank you

are you sure your score is 344?

I think you must be entering something incorrect? unless your age points are too low..

The easiest way is IELTS
L : 8
W/R/S : 7

With this result you can reach 400+ CRS

If the relative is sibling of your wife you may get additional 15 points

Hope this helps

It could be your age. Masters and relative in canada with your spouse Ielts and education assessment should get you above 400 at least.

Check your Ielts. If it is below CLB 9 try to improve it to band 9 and above. L8R8S7W7 or above

Good luck

What are your IELTS scores per module? I'm pretty sure you don't have CLB 9, which is 8 on listening and 7 on the others.

Your age is a big disadvantage. One thing you can do is try to improve Reading score
There's no need to withdraw if all information is entered correctly in the system, it wouldn't make a difference

Thats a bummer. Securing 8777 in LRWS will give you almost extra 50 points, just improve you reading score to minimum 7 and see the boost in your CRS score. Your CLB translation is incorrect.

That's it. Take IELTS again and try to achieve at least 8 on listening and 7 on all the others.

Giving the exam again...is definitely a gamble..might end up with lower points. So whats the solution? I can't get the PR?

Yes
Also if your spouse can take the IELTS and has post secondary studies, that could give you extra points. For example a spouse's bachelor degree gives you 8 points, and a CLB 9 or higher gives you another 20.

If you get a lower score you use the previous one. There is no way you're going to get over 400 without improving IELTS score. It's the single biggest contributor in your case. Our case is similar My husband turns 40 tomorrow, has a masters degree, over 10 years relevant experience, siblings in Canada who are PR, I have a bachelor's degree BUT we both scored a CLB 9+ so our CRS is 441.

So should I go ahead and withdraw this profile?
