Test will be rescheduled. Apparently there was a strike or something. After 1.5 hours of waiting outside! No one even bothered to let us know what was going on. Really frustrating. Everyone went home disappointed. No news as to when the new date will be.

Sorry to hear that. Is it QAE - Quality Assurance Exercise ? If so, good news is that it doesn't seem to be impacting the processing time, based on the few cases that I've seen here.

Process takes about a week. Depending on your CIC movements it should differ between 2-4 weeks.
Got mail...received request for fingerprint for husband due to after reviewing biographical info on application form there are questions in his case with regard to sections 21 and or 22 of Citizenship Act. Could this be a case of mistaken identity as we are sure no crime committed ever back home or here. Anyone who also got this letter? Was expecting test invite but hubby got this instead.

That sounds likely. Someone with a similar or the same name may have shown up when a criminal records search was done. Some other people on this forum have had similar experiences.
typical govt. office in -30°C perpetual hibernation. They will be the only office to be strictly following the processing time guideline of 12 months.
