Hi All,

I need an urgent help. Would appreciate if anyone can help here. My post graduate diploma has been assessed as Postgraduate diploma (one semester). Can you please tell how I should proceed in this situation? Should I select "Two or more diploma/degree .." option in Express Entry?

Below is My WES evaluation for your reference:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Bachelor's degree (three years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS
1. Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India
Credential: Bachelor of Commerce
Year: 2006
Awarded by: Saurashtra University
Status: Recognized Institution
Major/Specialization: Business Administration
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (three years)

2. Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: India
Credential: University Postgraduate Diploma
Year: 2012
Awarded by: Gujarat University
Status: Recognized Institution
Major/Specialization: Marketing Management
Canadian Equivalency: Postgraduate diploma (one semester)
Hi,

This is a tricky one. My gut tells me that this will not qualify as "two or more..." because Postgraduate diploma (one semester) does not appear on the list of accepted credentials:

Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
Important notice: One must be for a program of three or more years.

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

  • Post-Bachelor's Certificate
  • Post-undergraduate certificate
  • Post-Bachelor's Diploma
  • Post-undergraduate diploma
  • Graduate Certificate
  • Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Postgraduate certificate
  • Postgraduate Diploma
  • Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • Graduate diploma
  • two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
  • two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
  • one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
  • Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years)
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/education-assessed/read-report.html

But then again, the above does not specify how long the Diploma should have taken. The only way to be sure is to create an EE profile and see how many points it gives you. There is no option to select "two or more..", you enter each credential separately and then the system gives you the appropriate number of points.

Please let me know what the system awards you.

All the best

Hi Everyone

I've a query regarding ,

which provinces are better for migration according to employment situation and weather?

Regards
Hi,

The employment question is too broad and requires a lot of research based on your particular field and the network you have (family, friends etc).

Weather- Among the big 3, B.C has less severe winters followed by Ontario and then Alberta.

Hope this general info helps.

Thanks for your quick response...
Being a Govt. Organisation..superior won't take it ownself!!
This is my secondary noc...
Is it compulsory to show it?....as i am working under it at present..!!! If not, than how and in what column i can show it without having any technical questions from immigration officer?
I am planning to apply quoting my previous job experience i.e. primary NOC.
Right. If you are not claiming points for it, do not include it in employment history. Only mention it in the personal history section, where no evidence is required.

Hello,
1. I am working as a senior lecturer in a university previously my post was lecturer in the same organization. I am showing both as seperate entries in the work history. Hr dept will only give me one experience letter as responsibilities in both are same. Should i then upload the same letter twice?
2. I got 15 points for relatives in canada but after ita i am thinking to delete that as its becoming a hassle collecting all docs. My crs will be above the cutoff by 1 point & 67;points achieved. Can i change the option to no relatives after ita? @TanakaM

Hi,

1) Yes, you can upload the same letter twice.
2) No, you can not change this as it will take you below 67 points, thus making you ineligible. Secondly, since you were awarded 15 points you will fall below the draw's cutoff. Your application will definitely be rejected if you change this.

You can change your EE profile as many times as you want. Personal history is only after you have an ITA. So don't worry.

I created my express entry profile today. I noticed that they didn't ask for credential evaluation report at this stage today. I have successfully submitted the profile, received the EE profile number. I have also created my account on Job-bank website with my EE profile number and job-seeker code. At what stage of the process, I would be asked to provide documents related to WES credential evaluation?

Hi guys,

I have some questions.

I am the main applicant and my husband is a dependent. Do I have to put his work history in our EE? it doesn't give us any point and the stress of getting reference letter from his work can be much. I was thinking of just adding his work history in personal history after ITA.

Our EE score is 444

Also we have two kids and they are coming with us but I do not see anywhere to add their names in my EE.

Thank you!

Just submitted my EE, Few questions:
  • Is 548 a good score?
  • How long does it take to process/get invite?
  • I am a Canadian PG, but my CRS - Canadian Education says 0 - Any ideas why? - Figured this out, I had chosen french second language as Yes. Score jumped to 548
  • How much money do you bring to Canada? - Have been in Canada for 3 years and I brought 20K+ and now I have a job with 60k+ salaray. I put my salary here, should I change this? Revised it down to 35K just in case they ask me to prove. Will change back.
Thnx!

Hi Everyone,

I'm preparing my application for EE and I've got two questions.

1- I've been studying in Canada since 2016 and provided CIC with a police certificate when applying for my study permit. I haven't lived in my country since (just visited for 21 days) and it would be a real hassle to get another police certificate. Do I have to get one anyways?

Here's when I get confused:

"If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:
  • have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory."

2- I don't have any sort of work experience to claim points for, but based on CRS calculator, I'll get 461 points. I assume it doesn't matter as long as I beat the cut off point?

Thank you in advance for your help.

When you created the profile and it asked if you applied for the education assessment and if you selected YES it should have prompted you to select which organization then to enter the reference number on the WES evaluation.

I think you should get the police report as long as you’ve lived in a country for more than 6 months. I don’t think it has a cut off to say if it was 10 years ago or 20 years ago.

I can’t answer the part about working experience if it’s necessary.
