Dear Forum members
I want to get ECA done but have no idea how to proceed. I have done my masters of engineering from Baroda Gujarat. What would be the detailed steps to get all the documents necessary for the ECA. Also should I only apply for ECA to be done for master degree or should I also do it for my bachelors degree?? Is there any benefit of doing it for the bachelors degree? Please help and guide me. I only did it for my Masters, and got my PR ! Please check out the WES Canada website, particularly the free equivalency tool to see if your Master's is indeed the equivalent of a Canadian one prior to proceeding.

Thank you for replying so soon. I have checked my credentials on the free equivalency tool and it is equivalent to the masters in Canada. So you got ECA done for your masters degree, can you please suggest me how to go about it?Also do we lose any points for not getting the assessment done for bachelors degree? Thank you so much for your reply.

The whole process is outlined on the WES website- fairly forthright and easy too. My Master's degree was the United Kingdom albeit the undergrad qualification was from India (Bangalore University to be rather precise). I informed the UK university to send through the requisite docs to WES, which they happily obliged.

No, you won't lose out on any points if you don't assess your Bachelors. You're accorded higher points as a result of your Master's degree.
