URGENT: regarding csq for Quebec family sponsorship

I have also posted this on the Quebec section but nobody has answered...

So My husband and I hav started the family sponsorship with CIC in September 2017. On december 2017 I received an email from IRCC stating that I am eligible to sponsor and that I need to now fill up forms for the MIDI. I did the application kit A and sent it over to them. I received a letter from the MIDI stating that they received my form and charged my card in December 18th 2017 and that it’ll process within the next few weeks.

The problem is I still haven’t haven’t heard anything back, and the IRCC emailed my husband on January 25 2018 stating that they need his CSQ by February 24 2018 or they’ll process the case without it, which could also lead to refusal?

I’m confusee because on the MIDI website (and the letter) that they work with the IRCC to make sure everything gets processed. Should I call the midi and ask if we need to do anything on our part? My husband and I thought about contacting IRCC to let them know we still did not get his CSQ.

Did anyone go through this similar process for Quebec sponsorship? Does it usually take this long? The MIDI website says they do it in 25 business days.

Since this thread I have sent info to the IRCC that we have not yet received my husband’s csq. I can’t even call them because they are closed on weekends and during the week they close at 5pm (I finish work at 5 also)...

I’ll be very grateful for anyone who is currently on the same boat that are waiting for a reply from the MIDI since sending out the application to them.

If you are past the processing time, then contact MIDI.

I am being sponsored by my husband from Quebec as well. Upon submission of Quebec specific forms by my husband thru postal mail, a week after, my husband received an email confirming that the applicatiom forms has been received. If i am not mistaken, this was around last week of November 2017 already. A few weeks after, i asked my husband to call CIC and inquire for the status. CIC support advised us that we will receive a response in 25 business days. So we excluded some holidays in December 2017 and we did received a response on Jan 12, 2018 via a postal mail thru my husband’s current address in Quebec.

With your concern, just call CIC and describe the steps you have completed so they can advise your expected SLA.
