I'm still in the early process of Spousal sponsorship, I applied on Jan 2nd, 2018, until today (Feb 13) I didn't get any communications from CIC.

I'm 100% sure that I supplied my email and contact and address and use of representative as instructed

Thanks just drives me nut ... is that normal or I should do something about it

I hope you r right bro , because as far as I can tell the lady told me about the extension before the interview started , my wife told me that it’s a good sign since she asked to keep my passport , my wife emailed the MP and he have not answered her yet , and I don’t know what is a GCMS is so if u kindly can explain I would really appreciate it , or if there is another way to ask the MP just tell me and I will let her do it , she’s as much as impatient as me , I don’t know if u red my first comment or not but when she calls immigration there the recorded message says my time line and then says finger print not needed yet and back ground check have not started yet, does this confirm what u said ? Or it is just a standered message .? I also red that u for your passport back so congratulations bro and wish u the best here and there enshallah

Gcms notes is print of your computer file in immigration can request it with form you sign and scan that you appoint your wife to receive it by email in 30 days for 5 dollars ,will show what is done and what is pending still see this to apply https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...order-gcms-notes-step-by-step-process.513893/ I not know why your application took that long I had interview too and they did not keep my passport they asked for it 3 months after interview when security and background check was done hope you get it back soon too.

Hi guys , I had my interview on November 15th of 017 , the lady asked to keep my passport , the 2 photographs and my ogirinal marriage certificate with the authenticated translation of it , and of course all the other documents they asked for before the interview , she said she will take 2-3 weeks to decide , and till today I have not heard any thing , I sent them an email 4 weeks after my interview and they said it is still under review , now it’s almost 13 weeks , does any one know what does this mean?, also when my wife calls immigration there in Canada , and submit our file number the recorded message said back ground check has not started yet , and it also says any other info will be at the embassy in Cairo which doesn’t reply,y email any more , can any of u bros and sisters tell me what does this mean please ????

Did you travel anywhere outside Egypt before !!
Maybe that's why it takes too long for security check

the passports were sent on monday january 22nd, received at the embassy on tuesday january 23rd, the embassy sent an email on tuesday january 30th saying that the visas have been issued and asked us to arrange for a courrier pick up (preferably DHL) .. it was one week .. pretty fast i would say .. In ottawa it takes from 3 to 5 weeks to get the visas stamped and the passports to be returned

Here it took 40 days to get the approval.
So I would say, everything is normal in your case.
Try to think about something else, go for a run or learn knitting.
Good luck!

Today 20 February 2018 received request document from Cairo ambassy send before 15 days original marriage and translation by English. In same time received email we received also call by woman officer from ambassy of Cairo in the morning after the call she send us email . Email say: For complete your application resident permanent you have 15 days for send original marriage. No interview required. We are at 11 months since application received to Cairo ambassy.

I think that's a good news! It should go fast after you send your marriage certificate since you don't have interview!

26 February 2018: Request Register Family for send by email. Officier woman called us same time extremely super nice woman officer she take time for us this really appreciate good good good service

Do you recieve any updates after providing the requested documents !!!

They are usually so nice on phone calls but actually they're not that good in processing our applicatiins

Hello everyone , I would like to get your input on this issue, when CIC sends a request by regular mail (not email), but it only shows on CIC tool not on the account at all, could this be request for medical ? or it has to show on the account online as well? in other words can they request medical by mail and not update it online ? I will really appreciate your response thanks in advance

I would say yes. Here my husband arrived in Canada before they changed his online status.
If you received a letter inviting you to pass the medical examination, go ahead and don't lose time.

Thank you for your response and I would like to know how much time taken to send the letter after they changed his online status, and which one address in Egypt or Canada
