This is a tricky one because while requirements say this, what the VOs ask for if often different.

My husband is an Irish citizen, was living in Canada for a few years before we applied, and had travelled to Australia for less than 1 year a decade before we applied. We submitted the Irish cert and they asked for RCMP check, prints, AND the Aussie cert. Luckily we decided to get them done upfront so we'd have them in case, and I was glad we did so it didn't slow anything down.

Brill thanks, I'll probably get it done soon then to be safe. So could I ask (sorry) - the VO asks you for the certificates? I thought you got that request as soon as you got SA. Looking at the above, they asked him for a Canada certificate too?? Oh boy I have some admin to do!

Yeah no. CPC M asked for Canadian one, and London Visa Office asked for the Australian one. All over the shop.

thank you! I will hold my breath and pray they don't ask for Canadian one (I read somewhere it's tricky from abroad) and get the US done ASAP.

Just got AOR (December 22nd applicant) and linked on the first try but for some reason it says...we don't need additional documents. Does everybody instantly gets a request for schedule A or they ask for it in some time later?

The only steps that for certain will happen in order is AOR1 and DM, the steps between them really depends on which VO that your application will transfer to. Some VOs will require PCC and/or Med at early stage (Required by CPC-Mississauga), some VOs require them at a pretty late stage.

Then my husband received an email for him to link his application online, gave his UCI/Application number just today.

Is it possible that CIC will not send AoR? is the next update will be sponsorship approval? anyone know? thank you

The Email your husband received today is AOR1. And for most applicants, the next step is SA.

Your application is an outland application. And nowadays, the AOR1 will be issued to applicant around 6-8 weeks, since the date that CIC received your application.
