Hi!

I am currently working in UAE holding a Philippine passport. I applied my Visitors Visa for Canada on January 28,2018 and after 10 days I received a mail from CIC for a passport request mentioning “to continue your process of application”. What does it mean? I hope, its a good sign...

Congrats...its definitely approved... u need to submit ur passport in vfs office along with the letter for passport stamping.. how many yrs u get? u can check in ur cic acct the visa validity.. mine was only good for 1yr..

That’s good to know, thanks! I just submitted my passport today and they have told me to wait for a week... Let’s see how many months or years they approved..

if you have CIC account you can log in there and check..validity is there too..

There is no medical request.. if you are applying for tourist visa, once approved they will ask u to send ur passport.. Apply online as it will be more convenient.

You just have to wait patiently..It takes 3-4weeks to have a result...yours is still one week from a date submission... Some are even waiting for more than 3-4months.

Alright understood, from which country are you? This is my second application. The first I applied, it only took them 4 days to refuse my application. Does it mean I have higher chances of being approved?

From Philippines but ofw here in Saudi. I applied here last yr and i got one yr visa validity.

If you have build ur travel history, strong ties, employment yeah there is chance.. when was ur first application?

I reapplied after 2 weeks. I know this isn't a good move but I still wanted to try. Need to in Canada by March.

First application was on Jan 16 then I received the refusal on the 20th

if there is no changes in your application, then i am sure it will be denied again.. but since no result yet, just hope for the best.. but re-applying after 2 weeks its like a desperate move to visit Canada..

what was ur refusal letter before? reasons for denial?

What are the documents you have uploaded? re-applying immediately is not that advisable but since u have already done, wel just have to wait for the result.. hoping ul get.
