Just got a request for fingerprints letter by mail today, but my ECAS is still not online (ie it still doesn’t “login” to anything and says I can’t be found).

Has this happened to anyone else?
does the FP request have Applicantion number on it? if it does - try login with App #. It seems you got your AOR on JAn 3 - you should have access to ECAS within 12- 48 hours

Have your information correctly been input? Do you have a dash between first and last 4 UCI number?

Yeah I’ve checked the ECAS thing every day since I got my AoR on Jan 3 but I noticed it’s taken differing lengths of time for different people to get onto ECAS so figured the Toronto office were just being slow...

The UCI number and case number on my fingerprint request letter match the ones on my AoR that I’ve been trying to log in with, but no dice!

I believe ECAS becomes active after CPC-Sydney enters the applicant's details onto GCMS. Should be unrelated to your local CPC. I would suggest to try and call the IRCC call center and inquire, if you haven't done that already.

Yeah! I just got my wife to key it in, in case I’m being majorly dumb but I doubt it.

Only other thing I can think of is being born in England confuses the Canadian government - sometimes my place of birth is England/Britain/Great Britain/UK/The United Kingdom etc etc. It’s been all of these at least one Canadian forms once when applying for visas/work permits/PR so maybe that’s it? I was certain it would be “UK - British Subject” on ECAS (that’s the best option) but will keep trying.

you may have to wait a 100 million years to get through but once you get through it would be a matter of minutes :p

I think you should call them and confirm. They should be able to tell you if you're entering something incorrectly or whether the problem is on their end.
