Indian Police Clearance Certificate

I have been in the USA for a couple of years and have not gone back to my home country - India. I got my Indian passport renewed at Indian Consulate in NYC. I also applied and received Police Clearance Certificate from Indian Consulate in NYC on 23-October-2017. Can I use this certificate considering its been more than 3 months now? Some say CIC only considers PCC, which is 3 months old and some say 6 months old. I have an ITA and am prepping documents to submit by Feb 13. Would appreciate it if you can clarify?

I've never seen those reduced timelines you are referring to. The official timeline for using a PCC is 12 months for any country you're not residing in presently & 6 months for the country you are currently residing in. I don't see why you couldn't use the one you have presently from India.

If you have not visited India after the PCC was issued, you can use it.
