Still filling in forms here, do I have to fill out this form imm 5406 Additional Family Information, even if they are not coming with us and are not dependents? and do they have to fill out any forms?

Yes, you have to include your sponsor as your spouse on that form too. And if your spouse has any children (even if they were born in Canada and are Canadian citizens or PR) they should all be listed there too under the section “Children” as your step children.
