Hey Raj,

I have few questions regarding employment Letter /Reference Letter

My husband previous employer back in India , Is not responding to any emails or not providing any employment letter for his tenure at the company. Also , his seniors or colleagues are not working in the company anymore. What is the alternative way to obtain a employment letter / Reference letter ? Please advise . He is not currently in India.

Appreciate your response

Hi @DelPiero07

I am looking for some help. My application for permanent residency is stuck in IP2 since mid OCT. My BG changed to we are processing your back ground check and will send you a message if we need more details. I then got the ADR on the same day(or may be after couple days cannot really recall). We were given about a week time but the ETA for documents was over 3 weeks so we had asked for an extension which was provided. We have got ADR 2 times. Everything was submitted By Nov 22nd. My additional document status has never changed to we need additional documents or we are reviewing your documents. It has always been We do not need additional documents.

Our AOR is May 12th. Not sure whats going on. I called CIC and the lady on phone mentioned that our medicals, security and eligibility has passed. My (principal applicant's) criminality is done but officer yet has to start my spouse criminality.

CIC agent did mention that everything is finalized they are waiting for RCMP report in order to make a decision. Do you know how long it can be?

Hi,

I have a Post Graduate Diploma from the UK. I have also got the credentials verified from WES. When I add this in my Education History of the express entry profile, there is no option of Post Graduate Diploma or two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. The only options I can select are -

1. Master's degree or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession
2. Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.

If I select either of the options, my score changes. My score with Master's option would be 472, with Bachelor's option would be 457 and with two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees option would be 466. Plus, it would mean I am lying about my educational credentials and getting banned from 5 years from applying. I had received an ITA in 10th January draw. I withdrew it because of this small issue. How do I deal with this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

I received my ITA on JAN 24. Have time till APR 24 '2018. Sent my FBI PCC Documents by FedEx today :(. That means will not be able to meet deadline. Can someone help me with the below queries.

1. When should I complete and submit my Permanent Residency application. Should I wait till 2nd week of April and request an extension with LOE explaining delay in FBI PCC

2. I cannot find any attach documents option in my PR form. Will I get that after I submit the form.

3. What is validity of India PCC. When should I get the same.

4. Any documents from the checklist needs to be notarized.

Please help as I am confused regarding submission of PR form and attaching documents

tks,
tbn2k18

Hi,

You can change it now, then mention the other 5 years in your personal history, post-ITA. This wont be misrepresentation.
However, if you have the required documentation for all 11 years there is no harm in keeping it as it is.

Thank you for your valuable reply.

Actually I am worried about my first job (2006-2009), i have submitted appointment letter, reference letter and a salary certificate which i took during my job for a loan. I don't have any other documents for this exp. Moreover, the company has taken over by another organization with new management on 2013. I don't even know anyone of these new staff. Basically i am worried about particularly this experience. Shall i remove this experience from my profile or keep it same and submit with appointment letter, Reference letter and salary certificate.

Remember only work experience gained in the last 10 years is co considered. So you might as well remove it from the PR application. You have more than enough experience without it.

Hey Guys,

I am a little confused now, whether go for Notes from CIC to know the status of my application or wait for some time more. I can see from the tracker that people with the similar AOR date as mine got the BG status updated to at least NA if not IP2. Mine seems to be stuck. Any suggestions going by the processing trend these days?

Application Details:
---------------------
CRS: 481
Category: FSW-Outland
e-AOR: Dec 18, 2017
---------------------
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam. (DATE: Jan 4, 2018)
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed. (DATE: Jan 15, 2018, FBI Submitted on Jan 14, 2018)
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Thanks,
SR

It's only been a month. Please remember that they aim to process 80% of applications within 6 months. So don't worry it still early.

All the best

No need for those letters. If the reference letter has all the required information you don't need anything else.

Just make sure it includes all of this:
"a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;"

I have applied for UK PCC this month using my old passport number as it had the UK travel details. However I have applied and got my new passport in July. Is the UK PCC valid to proceed with old passport number or should I re-apply with new passport details ?

Hi,

You can use the PCC you have. Just mention the change of passport in your LOE.
